Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and the supervision of Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Menoufia University participated in the sports meeting organized by the Ministry of Youth for people with disabilities for male and female students of Egyptian universities from December 5 to 8, with the participation of 24 universities in Abo Qir Youth City in Alexandria on the grounds of the Faculty of Physical Education in Alexandria, under the auspices of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, where the competitions in which the university team participated resulted in winning 14 different medals.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased stressed the university's keenness to provide all means of support to students with disabilities to ensure their effective participation in all different student activities, and to provide means of support for them within the colleges and enable broad participation for people with disabilities in various fields, noting that they obtained advanced positions during all sports forums.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased pointed out that the participation of universities comes in light of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, towards caring for people with disabilities, and in conjunction with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Egyptian universities, which is evident through the establishment of a center for services and support for people with disabilities in many Egyptian universities, and its provision of many services and activities, which represents a point of contact between the university and its various faculties and institutes.

Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari explained that the meeting aims to raise the level of fitness and physical efficiency among university students with special needs in university sports activities, achieve psychological balance, develop self-confidence and self-esteem, stressing the university's keenness to support and care for people with disabilities and provide them with all forms of support, and work to integrate them into the university community, noting that Menoufia University participated with a group of 33 male and female students from the university's faculties.
The Vice President of the University announced that the university won 3 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.
