Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the Faculty of Specific Education launched its eleventh scientific conference, The Story of Egypt, Specific Education (Heritage - Growth - Creativity) today until the seventh of December, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Zidan, Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Conference, Dr. Ashraf Al-Essawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research and Vice President of the Conference, Dr. Abeer Shaaban, Professor of Ceramics in the Department of Art Education and Conference Rapporteur, and a group of faculty members from the various scientific departments of the Faculty and researchers from participating Egyptian and Arab universities.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, pointed out that the 11th Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Specific Education this year is in line with Egypt's Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development, which includes the development and advancement of Egyptian artistic and heritage crafts and highlighting their pioneering role in developing the Egyptian economy and entrepreneurship and integrating them into small and micro-enterprises, which is fully consistent with the themes of the third annual conference of the Community Service Sector at Menoufia University held yesterday on the national and societal strategy, future horizons and visions for different segments of society, in addition to the prominent role played by the Faculty of Specific Education in serving, caring for and developing Egyptian heritage crafts at the local and international levels that preserve the Egyptian heritage and protect it from identity obliteration.
The President of the University also confirmed that the conference will shed light on educational issues and people of determination and focus on the effective role of quality education in light of digital media and supporting environmental studies in quality learning and other specialized sciences to achieve the dimensions of sustainability, in addition to working to employ specialized fields to empower women economically and socially.
Dr. Mohamed Zidan, Dean of the College and Chairman of the Conference, stressed that there is a purposeful vision discussed by researchers by encouraging continuous dialogue on preserving Egyptian heritage and integrating it into educational curricula to enhance cultural and societal belonging and interaction. In addition to forming sustainable communication channels between academics, government institutions and civil society in the field of education and creativity through distance education and e-learning to preserve cultural heritage and enhance communication and interaction with it.
The Chairman of the Conference also noted that the activities will include supporting students and ways for them to participate in developing Egyptian heritage through encouraging methods of sustainable education and presenting innovative solutions in the field of education and emphasizing the creative integration between the developments of modern technology and various fields of qualitative science. The conference will also discuss enhancing the role of qualitative education and its connection to the story of Egypt between the genius of the place and the creativity of the artist and spreading societal values and enhancing Arab identity through Arabic music and music education as a means of enhancing qualitative learning and growing the culture of creativity in schools.
Dr. Ashraf Al-Essawy, Vice President of the Conference and Vice Dean of the College for Postgraduate Studies and Research, also pointed out that the conference will discuss 37 research papers with the participation of 15 universities, including 11 Egyptian universities and 3 Arab universities, and with the participation of 6 scientific departments in the college, namely the Department of Home Economics, Educational Media, Educational Technology and Computer, and the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, Art Education and Music Education.
