Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held the monthly Deans Council meeting "online" to follow up on the university's various activities and events, in addition to preparing and studying the topics that need to be studied before presenting them to the University Council in its next monthly meeting.
This was attended by Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Hatem Sayed Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, Dr. Ahmed El-Kholi, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Counselor Omar Turki, Legal Advisor to the President of the University, and Ms. Souad Bayoumi, Head of the Central Administration of the University President's Office.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qassed congratulated the committee members and university staff on the occasion of the upcoming celebration of the 48th anniversary of the university, praising the achievements made by the university since its inception and the university achieving a prestigious position among Egyptian universities. Dr. Ahmed El-Kased reviewed some of the activities that took place in the university sectors during the month of December, congratulating all university staff on the announcement of the Times THE classification of Menoufia University among the best Arab universities for the year 2024, as Menoufia University came in 131st place out of a total of 315 Arab universities, and at the level of Egypt, Menoufia University was number 26 out of a total of 47 Egyptian universities only that appeared in the classification, which is considered one of the most prominent international classifications that show the quality of education and scientific research in academic institutions around the world, in addition to the inclusion of Menoufia University for the first time in the QS Sustainability Classification for the year 2025, as Menoufia University ranked tenth in Egypt out of 36 Egyptian universities that appeared in the classification and 14th place at the level of North African universities and 30th place at the level of Africa, and Menoufia University came In the category from 1021 to 1040 worldwide out of a total of 1744 international universities that appeared in the classification, the university advanced in the Green imetric global classification by 95 centers compared to last year, as the university came in 285th place worldwide out of 1477 international universities that appeared in the classification, as the Green metric classification aims to evaluate the performance of universities and educational institutions in the fields of environmental sustainability, expressing his happiness at the university achieving advanced positions, and directing thanks to all those in charge of international classifications, expressing his hope that the university will achieve a strong leap in global classifications during the coming year after completing the required standards. Dr. Ahmed El-Kased referred to participating in the activities of the session of the Planning and Budget Committee in the House of Representatives to follow up on the implementation of the recommendations issued by the Planning and Budget Committee in the draft state budget for the fiscal year 2024/2025, in the presence of delegates from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and Higher Education and Scientific Research. The investment plan of Menoufia University and its future vision were reviewed, and it was agreed that the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development would commit to the recommendations previously issued by the Planning and Budget Committee to include the Specialized Surgery Hospital project and the Establishing a fence around the area allocated for the expansion of Menoufia University in Sadat City, which amounts to 200 acres, according to the university's investment plan.

In addition to participating in the activities of the sixth edition of the Egyptian University Leadership Program, hosted by the Fulbright Commission in Egypt, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fulbright Commission, Dr. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission, Robin Haroutounian, Ministerial Counselor for Public Affairs at the US Embassy in Cairo and Treasurer of the Fulbright Commission, and Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, as a culmination of the celebration of the anniversary of the establishment of the Fulbright Program in Egypt in 1949 and the passage of 75 years of friendship and academic and cultural exchange between Egypt and the United States.
The university president also congratulated Dr. Sobhi Sharaf on the success of the third annual conference of the Community Service Affairs Sector, pointing out the praise of Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities, and members of the Supreme Council for Community Service Affairs for the activities of the conference and exhibition held under the title of Community Responsibility of Universities in Light of the National Strategy for Higher Education: Future Horizons and Visions. Following the opening ceremony of the conference, a session of the Supreme Council for the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector was held and the exhibition of industrial and technological products, agricultural products and handicrafts was opened. Dr. Ahmed El-Kased also referred to the participation in the activities of the first edition of the initiative to empower people with disabilities from university students, which is held under the auspices of Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The initiative was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education in cooperation with the Hope Donors Global Campaign to raise awareness of the rights and duties of students with disabilities at Luxor University, in addition to signing a cooperation protocol between Menoufia University and the American organization "AMIDEAST" to establish a service center and support people with disabilities at the university as part of the third phase of the project to establish and develop centers for students with disabilities at universities. The President of the University also thanked Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari for the efforts of the sector in organizing the student union elections, congratulating the students who won the student union elections for the academic year 2024/2025, as the elections concluded with the victory of the student Mahmoud Al-Sayed Khalil - from the Faculty of Engineering for the position of President of the University Student Union for the third year in a row, while the student Nadim Basem Aboud - from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence won the position of Vice President of the Union.

He congratulated the students who won first place in the Ideal Student Competition at the university's faculties, with the participation of 65 male and female students. Dr. Ahmed El-Kased also referred to his visit to Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Governor of Menoufia, at the headquarters of the General Diwan of the Governorate to invite him to participate in the activities of the Social Responsibility Conference for Universities in Light of the National Strategy for Higher Education, and his reception by Major General Abdel Hamid Youssef, Head of the Administrative Control Authority Office in Menoufia Governorate, Major Mohamed Yehia, Member of the Administrative Control Authority in the Office, and Dr. Shaden Moawia, President of Sadat City University, before the start of the activities of the celebration of the Administrative Control Authority on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day and holding an awareness seminar.
