Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, met with Eng. Islam El-Fishawy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sadat City, at the headquarters of the Sadat City Development Authority, in the presence of the University's Vice Presidents, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bari for Education and Students, Dr. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary-General of the University, and some of the Vice Presidents of the Board of Trustees of Sadat City.

The President of the University expressed his happiness with this meeting, which comes within the framework of following up on the work of the Menoufia University Extension Project in Sadat City, praising the activities of the Board of Trustees of Sadat City, which is an advisory and regulatory body that aims to develop and organize Sadat City, and includes a group of prominent figures in the fields of administration, economics and industry, and works to enhance cooperation between the public and private sectors to achieve sustainable development goals in Sadat City.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sadat City praised the remarkable progress achieved by Menoufia University at all levels, stressing the importance of the role of universities in raising generations that contribute to achieving the goals of sustainable development, especially since education and training are among the most important means of empowering individuals, which contributes to improving production efficiency, increasing innovation, creating job opportunities, and thus enhancing sustainable economic growth. Therefore, investing in the human element through education, developing skills, improving health, and promoting social justice are essential to achieving comprehensive sustainable development. The meeting discussed the extension project of Menoufia University in Sadat City, covering an area of ​​200 acres, and the new ideas the project includes in line with the strategy of higher education and scientific research and Egypt's Vision 2030, and focusing on using the results of scientific research in developing technical solutions that contribute to solving industrial problems and developing various sectors to serve Sadat Industrial City, believing in the importance of linking scientific research to industry and achieving integration between education and industry and cooperation in order to improve productivity and increase the competitiveness of Egyptian products. The university president stressed that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, pays great attention to scientific research and the need to link it to industry, as part of the Egyptian government's strategy to achieve sustainable development and sustainable economic growth, and the importance of investing in the infrastructure of scientific research by establishing many scientific cities and advanced research centers, which work to provide an environment that encourages innovation in areas such as energy, health, artificial intelligence, and advanced industries. This is what Menoufia University seeks in its strategic plan to implement by establishing advanced research centers and a technological university in the university extension project in Sadat City. The two parties also discussed ways of joint cooperation that can be implemented to link scientific research with industry, the most important of which is establishing strategic partnerships between the university and industry to exchange knowledge and technology, and providing the necessary funding for scientific research through industry and investment bodies. Various conferences and workshops can also be organized to exchange knowledge and expertise between researchers and industrialists. At the end of the meeting, the university president and the chairman of the board of trustees exchanged commemorative shields.
