Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, Professor of Oncology Surgery and Member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Surgeons Association, participated in the opening activities of the scientific forum of the Department of General Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Benha University, which discusses the latest developments in liver and biliary tract surgeries.
This was attended by Dr. Mohamed El-Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Mohamed Daabes, Head of the Department of General Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Hamed Rashad, former Head of the Department of Surgery, Dr. Abdel-Moati Hussein, President of the Egyptian Surgeons Association, Dr. Tarek Ibrahim, Professor of Surgery at the National Liver Institute at Menoufia University and Secretary of the Egyptian Surgeons Association, Dr. Gamal Omeira, Professor of Surgery at Cairo University and Deputy of the General Syndicate of Doctors, Dr. Atef Abdel-Ghani, former Head of the Department of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Benha, and Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Aziz, Professor of Surgery at the Theodor Bilharz Institute.
During his speech, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased welcomed the attendees of the scientific forum from professors and doctors of surgery at Egyptian universities and young doctors and researchers, thanking Dr. Nasser Al-Gizawy, President of Benha University, for the warm reception, stressing his keenness on fruitful cooperation between the two universities. El-Kased also thanked the organizers of the conference and Dr. Atef Abdel-Ghani, former head of the Department of Surgery, for inviting him to participate in the distinguished scientific day, congratulating the department on this distinguished scientific activity, which is an opportunity to exchange experiences and train young doctors within the framework of continuing medical education pursued by Egyptian universities and the Egyptian Surgeons Association.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased expressed his happiness to participate in this scientific forum as a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Surgeons Association, pointing out what the association is doing in terms of continuous training for young doctors, adopting the application of spreading the behaviors and ethics of the surgical profession, emphasizing the provision of high-quality medical services, and providing the opportunity for surgeons to continue research and study, developing relations with academic and surgical research bodies, and providing means to publish scientific research.
The envoy also praised the scientific content of the forum, and called on young surgeons to be keen to follow up on the discussion in the field of various surgeries and training on the latest global technologies, and to be keen on exchanging experiences.
For his part, the President of the Egyptian Surgeons Association stressed the importance of continuous training, and the association's conversion of the association's headquarters into a surgical training center, in addition to the association's participation in scientific activities, pointing out the association's participation next month in a scientific forum at Menoufia University.
