Minister of Higher Education inspects Menoufia Private University to ensure regularity of study

Minister of Higher Education appreciates the support of the political leadership to establish private universities and provide them with modern education systems

Prof. Ayman Ashour confirms:
- The cost of establishing Menoufia Private University amounts to 5 billion pounds
- Private universities are ambitious projects that keep pace with the requirements of the labor market and enhance sustainable development
- Private universities are a step towards improving the quality of education and enhancing scientific research

- The Minister directs the necessity of providing an advanced educational experience in private universities

As part of his tours to follow up on the regularity of study in universities with the start of the second semester of the current academic year, Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, paid an inspection visit to Menoufia Private University this morning, Tuesday, accompanied by Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Governor of Menoufia, Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University and Acting President of Menoufia Private University, Prof. Maher Mesbah, Secretary of the Council of Private Universities, and Prof. Nancy Asaad, Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, Prof. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Nasser Abdel Bary, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, Dr. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary General of Menoufia University, and a group of leaders from the Ministry, the Governorate, Higher Education, and the University.

During the visit, the Minister inspected the lecture halls, classrooms, and laboratories, and reassured the provision of all modern technological media; with the aim of creating a distinguished educational environment for students.

The Minister appreciated the great support provided by the political leadership to establish private universities, and provide them with the latest technological devices and information infrastructure; to keep pace with international universities, noting that the cost of establishing Menoufia Private University amounted to 5 billion pounds, indicating that private universities offer modern study programs that are in line with the requirements of the labor market, in addition to joining regional alliances, and cooperating with academic, research, and industrial institutions, within the framework of the presidential initiative "Alliance and Development" and implementing the goals of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2030, praising the great demand from students to join private universities; Reflecting the confidence of students and parents in them, stressing that private universities are ambitious projects that reflect the state's vision to improve the quality of educational services, enhance scientific research, and provide a modern academic environment to support sustainable development in Egypt.

Prof. Ayman Ashour stressed that the relationship between public and private universities is based on cooperation and integration, directing the need to ensure achieving the goals of establishing the university and providing an advanced and distinguished educational experience for students, pointing out the importance of the university including modern interdisciplinary study programs that keep pace with the latest international educational systems, and that it has a new administrative structure that includes the presence of a Vice President for Academic Affairs, a Vice President for International Relations and Partnerships, and a Vice President for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, to contribute to achieving the university's goals.

For his part, Prof. Ahmed El-Kased pointed out that Menoufia Private University aims to encourage students and faculty members to innovate, create, and pay attention to scientific research, stressing that the university is working to strengthen partnerships and cooperation with various academic and research institutions; With the aim of developing students' skills, preparing them for the labor market, and providing a stimulating and supportive educational environment for excellence and innovation, noting that the university applies modern and innovative educational and scientific research techniques to provide comprehensive and high-quality education.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased stressed that Menoufia Private University is a distinguished addition to university education, as it includes 10 colleges and 17 modern study programs, most notably medical colleges including (Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Applied Health Sciences Technology, and Nursing), and the university also includes the faculties of Engineering, Computer and Artificial Intelligence), in addition to that, the university includes the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the English Language Program and Specialized Translation.

Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, the media advisor and official spokesperson for the ministry, said that there are 20 private universities, and that the next academic year will witness the start of studies in 10 private universities, bringing the total number of private universities to 30 universities that enjoy the trust of the Egyptian citizen, noting that private universities offer modern interdisciplinary study programs that keep pace with the needs of the contemporary and future labor market, and that private universities are equipped with the latest educational media and systems, and have an advanced information infrastructure, and their laboratories are equipped with the latest technological devices; to provide a distinguished educational experience, noting that private universities are not for profit, as their revenues are re-injected again; to develop the infrastructure and information; to raise the level of educational services provided to students, which contributes to qualifying them according to the requirements of the labor market. The Minister was accompanied from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research by Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, the media advisor and official spokesperson for the ministry, Dr. Ahmed Anani, the minister's advisor for health policies, and Eng. Mohamed Ghanem, head of the central administration for the affairs of the minister's office.
