Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held an online meeting with the deans of faculties to follow up on the progress of academic and administrative work at the faculties and discuss strategic plans for the current semester. This meeting is part of the university's regular monitoring of faculties' workflow and to discuss topics that require study before presenting them to the next university council.
The university president began the meeting, which was attended by Prof. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Nasser Abdel Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary General of the university, by extending congratulations to all Coptic members of the university on the occasion of Easter and Sham El-Nessim.
The university president emphasized that these periodic meetings are part of the university's commitment to academic excellence and community service, as well as monitoring the educational process and ongoing preparations for the midterm exam period of the second semester. This is to ensure quality, ensure that any obstacles are overcome, and meet the needs of the faculties to ensure the smooth running of exams.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased thanked the Adult Education Center and all the faculties and students participating in the National Literacy and Adult Education Project for their success in eliminating illiteracy among 6,042 citizens during the January 2025 session. Thus, the university has succeeded in eliminating illiteracy among 10,175 citizens since 2014 in various villages and centers in Menoufia Governorate and outside the governorate. The university president praised the organization of the educational symposium "Build Your Awareness: Youth and National Security," organized by the university in cooperation with the Youth Coordination of Parties and Politicians. He also praised the student turnout and interaction with the speakers. He emphasized that Menoufia University was keen to host this important initiative to emphasize that building awareness is not a slogan, but rather a shared responsibility between the state and educational institutions. This is in line with the Egyptian state's strategic vision to build a new republic based on active participation and comprehensive development, and in implementation of the directives and interest of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in developing the political awareness of youth, as they are the primary driver of shaping the nation's future. He emphasized that political awareness is the impregnable shield that protects individuals and societies from intellectual deviation, cultural dependency, and political polarization. The University President concluded the meeting by stressing the importance of continuous monitoring of the educational process during the second semester to ensure that studies proceed according to the highest quality standards. He also emphasized faculty members' commitment to academic schedules, monitoring student attendance and punctuality, and evaluating the quality of the educational content provided, while adhering to the student activities plan. He directed the deans to prepare weekly reports on the progress of the educational process and the colleges' preparations for the final exams of the second semester.
