Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, visited the Menoufia Diocese in Shebin El-Kom today to extend his congratulations to the Coptic and Christian brothers on the occasion of Easter. He was accompanied by Prof. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary General of the University.
The President of the University and his accompanying delegation were received by His Grace Bishop Benjamin, Bishop of Menoufia, and Father Paula Yacoub, Deputy Bishop of the Diocese.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Bishop of Menoufia, the clergy, and the Coptic citizens of the governorate on the occasion of Easter. He prayed to God to bring this occasion back to Egypt and its people with goodness, security, safety, and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and that all Egyptians remain united, bound together by bonds of love and brotherhood. He emphasized that the holidays of Muslims and Christians are holidays for all Egyptians, and serve to consolidate brotherhood, love, and coexistence among all segments of society. He hoped that the nation would always enjoy security, safety, and stability. For his part, Bishop Benjamin expressed his happiness with this visit, which confirms the spirit of love among all the Egyptian people. He extended his thanks and appreciation to the President of Menoufia University for his keenness to visit the diocese and offer congratulations on all occasions and holidays. He stressed that Menoufia University is the house of expertise and a beacon of knowledge in the governorate, praising the unprecedented urban and scientific renaissance witnessed by the university, appreciating the efforts made to advance the university and the services it provides to the community, calling on God to bring this occasion back to the university staff, our beloved Egypt and its great people with goodness, security, safety and stability.
