Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held a regular meeting with members of the University Facilities Committee. The meeting was attended by Prof. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary General of the University; Prof. Ayman Ali, Engineering Advisor to the President of the University; and Assistant Secretaries-General of the University: Ms. Souad Bayoumi, Accountant Ashraf El-Nattat, and Ms. Hala Saleh. The meeting was attended by Prof. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary-General of the University; Dr. Ayman Ali, Engineering Advisor to the President of the University; and Assistant Secretaries-General of the University: Ms. Souad Bayoumi, Accountant Ashraf El-Nattat, and Ms. Hala Saleh. The university president began the meeting by following up on the work of the committee assigned yesterday to investigate the circumstances of the elevator accident at the university hospitals. He tasked the Engineering Consulting Center and engineering affairs officials with preparing a technical report on the elevator's condition, and tasked legal affairs with conducting the necessary investigations to determine the cause of the accident. He emphasized that he would not tolerate any negligence in implementing the necessary legal measures against any negligent party. He noted that he is closely monitoring the condition of the injured and heard a report from Prof. Mohamed El-Naamani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, on the injured, the medical examinations, x-rays, and necessary treatment provided to them. He wished them all a speedy recovery.
The university president also directed the committee to inspect all elevators and prepare a technical report for each one individually. He also directed the committee to follow up on contracts concluded with maintenance companies, emphasizing the importance of cooperation among all concerned parties to prevent such accidents and the importance of ongoing coordination between the relevant departments, the Engineering Consulting Center, and the responsible companies.
The University President reviewed the agenda submitted by the General Administration of Engineering Affairs regarding ongoing projects and activities, emphasizing the importance of continuous monitoring of all ongoing projects. These include the development of some educational buildings and expansions to support the university's infrastructure and improve the educational and research environment for students and faculty members. These expansions are part of the university's strategic vision to enhance services and provide modern facilities that keep pace with recent academic developments.
