Under the auspices of Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Governor of Menoufia, Menoufia University dispatched a comprehensive medical convoy to Al-Amra village in Menoufia Center. The convoy, which was held at the events hall in the western part of Al-Amra, examined 432 residents and provided them with free medication. The convoy was supervised by Prof. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, in cooperation with the General Administration of Community Service at the University and the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy, in addition to the Women's Affairs Department, the Equal Opportunities and Population Units, and the Child Protection Unit, the Decent Life Foundation, the Menoufia Health Directorate, and the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education in Menoufia.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased emphasized that the university is always keen to provide medical services to the residents of the governorate and the most needy areas, and to contribute effectively to the implementation of the state's plan and the goals of the presidential initiatives launched by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The university seeks to launch more integrated convoys throughout the governorate, in line with the goals of sustainable development and Egypt Vision 2030.
The university president added that the university places great importance on providing increased care and attention to the most vulnerable groups in society, contributing positively to the advancement of health, social, and environmental development, and providing medical and awareness services to citizens in various fields in the most needy areas and villages within the governorate. This contributes to supporting the university's societal and developmental service role and its responsibilities towards society in all its sectors.
Prof. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University, indicated that the convoy aims to improve the level of integrated medical services, provide more care to the most vulnerable groups in society, and contribute positively to the advancement of health, social, and environmental development. It also aims to provide medical and awareness services to citizens in various fields in the most needy areas and villages within the governorate. This contributes to supporting the university's societal, developmental, and service role and fulfilling its responsibilities towards society in all its sectors.
He added that the convoy conducted free medical examinations for residents through six medical clinics, including 78 internal medicine clinics, 63 pediatric clinics, 74 ophthalmology clinics, 65 chest clinics, 69 dermatology clinics, and 83 ear, nose, and throat clinics.
The convoy's services also included blood sugar and blood pressure tests, as well as screening for a large number of women's health cases.
Some cases were also transferred to the university hospital for further examinations, testing, and necessary surgeries.
The convoy is under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed El-Nomaani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Haitham Maimoun, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Rania Azmy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Shady Allam, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service Affairs.
