In a distinctive festive atmosphere, Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, attended the university’s choir concert, held at the Grand Celebration Hall at the Theoretical Colleges Complex in Shebin El-Kom, as part of the events marking the 49th annual anniversary of the university, with wide participation from university leaders, staff, and students.

The concert was attended by Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Ghada Hassan, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; and Mrs. Soaad Beyoumi, University Secretary-General, in addition to a large number of faculty members, employees, and students.

Students of the Menoufia University Choir, led and trained by Maestro Prof. Abdel Hamid Amer and Prof. Rania Hamed, presented a rich and varied artistic program featuring national and folkloric songs that embodied the spirit of belonging and love of الوطن, alongside selected compositions by the internationally renowned Egyptian composer Omar Khairat. Solo performances were delivered by student Abdel Aziz Selim, student Hasnaa Alaa, and student Asmaa Hamada, receiving strong interaction and admiration from the audience.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased praised the highly professional standard demonstrated by the choir team, emphasizing that the university places special emphasis on supporting “soft power.” He noted that the celebration goes beyond being a mere artistic performance; rather, it reflects the university’s strategy to build a well-rounded student personality and nurture young talents who represent an honorable image of Menoufia University at various forums. He also extended his thanks to those responsible for organization and training.

The attendees expressed their appreciation for the high artistic quality and excellent organization of the concert. The University President and Vice Presidents conveyed their gratitude and appreciation to the choir team and their supervisors, affirming that such events reflect the university’s commitment to supporting cultural and artistic activities and enhancing their role in shaping students’ personalities.

The event also featured the screening of a documentary film produced by the Media Production Unit of the University’s Media Administration, reviewing the development journey of Menoufia University during 2025 and the tangible achievements realized in the fields of education, medical, research, and construction sectors, digital transformation, student activities, and community service—highlighting the significant progress achieved under the vision of Prof. Ahmed El-Kased for developing the university system.

The celebration concluded amid an atmosphere of joy and commemorative photographs, marking the beginning of a new year of giving and academic excellence for the long-established Menoufia University.
