As part of strengthening institutional cooperation and supporting sustainable development efforts, Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, met with Major General Amr El-Gharib, Governor of Monufia Governorate, during his visit to the Governorate Headquarters to discuss ways of supporting and developing a number of service and development sectors across the governorate.

The meeting addressed mechanisms for expanding areas of cooperation between the university and the executive authority in a way that maximizes the benefit from the academic and research expertise available at Menoufia University and employs it in serving national and service projects, particularly in the sectors of health, education, infrastructure, and environment. 

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased emphasized the university’s commitment to fulfilling its societal role as a key partner in achieving development through providing technical and consultative support, as well as active participation in preparing scientific studies that contribute to making development decisions based on scientific foundations, positively reflecting on the level of services provided to citizens.

He added that the coming phase will witness expansion in launching joint initiatives between the university and the governorate, including providing technical consultations and implementing training programs to build the capacities of executive cadres, in addition to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship . He affirmed that the university seeks to serve as a national house of expertise that supports the state's development plans and keeps pace with its orientation toward sustainable development and Egypt’s future vision.

For his part, Major General Amr El-Gharib, Governor of Monufia Governorate, stressed the importance of the vital role played by Menoufia University as one of the distinguished academic institutions, noting the governorate’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the university to make the best use of its capabilities in support of comprehensive development plans and in improving citizens’ quality of life, while emphasizing the necessity of integrating efforts among various state institutions to achieve a qualitative leap in service delivery.
