Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, announced the official launch of the “Entrepreneurship World Cup 2026,” calling on university students to promptly register and participate in this major student event aimed at supporting innovation and transforming ideas into startups, in line with the implementation of Egypt’s Vision 2030.

The event is held under the supervision of Prof. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Acting Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector.

Prof. El-Kased emphasized that the University places great importance on entrepreneurship as a key pillar in building a knowledge-based economy. He noted that the “Entrepreneurship World Cup” represents a genuine opportunity for creative students—whether those with innovative ideas, outstanding research projects, or scalable prototypes—to enter the labor market and achieve their ambitions of establishing successful ventures.

He added that the competition offers participation across a range of vital fields aligned with contemporary demands, including energy, agricultural projects, artificial intelligence, engineering, as well as social innovation and the humanities, reflecting the diversity of opportunities available to students.

Prof. El-Kased affirmed that the University has provided a comprehensive support package for participants, including technical training and capacity building, opportunities to connect with investors, and assistance in transforming ideas into viable, implementable projects—thereby contributing to the preparation of a generation capable of competing in the labor market.

The “Entrepreneurship World Cup” at Menoufia University is built upon the integration of four main pillars: the Scientific and Technological Activities Department, which identifies and attracts student talents; the Talents Support Unit, which refines ideas scientifically and methodologically; the Technology Incubator, which transforms ideas into executable prototypes; and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, which provides feasibility studies and facilitates networking opportunities with industry leaders, in addition to offering multiple channels for engagement with sponsors.

In an effort to motivate students, the University President announced distinguished financial awards for winners, including EGP 30,000 for the Gold Project, EGP 20,000 for the First Category, EGP 10,000 for the Second Category, and EGP 5,000 for the Third Category, along with honoring the winners at a major closing ceremony.

Prof. El-Kased explained that registration is open from 23 April to 1 May 2026, followed by technical evaluation and classification from 2 to 4 May, then project presentations and judging (pitching) from 5 to 7 May. The event will conclude with a final exhibition and awards ceremony as part of a grand closing festival.

He urged all university students to seize this opportunity, noting that registration remains open until 1 May 2026 via the following link:
