Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University and Acting President of Menoufia National University, together with Major General Amr El-Ghareeb, Governor of Menoufia, and Prof. Nancy Assaad, Vice President for Academic Affairs, inaugurated the Educational Veterinary Hospital at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Menoufia National University. The inauguration comes within the framework of the state’s efforts to develop higher education and enhance applied learning to prepare qualified graduates who meet labor market demands.
The event was attended by Prof. Ibrahim Hashem, Dean of the Engineering Sector; Prof. Ashraf Belbaa, Dean of the Medical Sector; Mr. Mohamed Saeed, Secretary-General of the University; Prof. Marwa Awad, Director of the Veterinary Medicine Program; as well as program directors and coordinators.
At the beginning of the event, Prof. El-Kased welcomed the Governor, expressing his appreciation for his continued support and active participation in university activities, emphasizing that this cooperation reflects an effective partnership that contributes to implementing developmental and service projects benefiting the people of the governorate and strengthening the University’s community role.
Prof. El-Kased affirmed that the Educational Veterinary Hospital represents a qualitative addition, providing an integrated training environment for students by linking theoretical study with clinical applications, along with the regular organization of practical examinations. This contributes to enhancing students’ competencies and developing their practical skills, in addition to continuous hands-on training throughout the year.
He explained that the hospital is equipped with modern facilities, including examination and treatment rooms for pets and large and small animals, as well as a fully equipped operating room featuring advanced medical devices such as ECG machines, X-ray units, ultrasound equipment, anesthesia systems, and diathermy devices, in addition to sterilization systems, radiation protection equipment, and advanced diagnostic and surgical tools.
The University President noted that the hospital offers a wide range of services, including supporting the educational and practical training process through direct interaction with clinical cases, treatment of animals and poultry, performing surgical operations, implementing vaccination programs to prevent epidemic diseases, organizing veterinary convoys across villages and centers in the governorate, raising awareness among breeders, training veterinarians, and establishing databases for infectious diseases.
Prof. El-Kased also emphasized that national universities receive strong support from the political leadership under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, within the framework of advancing higher education and offering modern academic programs aligned with labor market requirements. He added that Menoufia National University seeks to prepare graduates capable of innovation and competitiveness.
For his part, Governor Amr El-Ghareeb expressed his appreciation for the remarkable and rapid development witnessed at Menoufia National University, highlighting its modern faculties and programs aligned with labor market needs. He affirmed that national universities represent a significant qualitative leap in Egypt’s higher education system, offering advanced learning environments based on practical training and modern applications.
The Governor also praised the high-level تجهيزات and laboratories observed during the inauguration of the Educational Veterinary Hospital, describing it as a strong and valuable addition to supporting the livestock sector in the governorate. He noted its role in improving veterinary services provided to farmers and breeders, as well as qualifying students with the practical skills required for the labor market, thereby enhancing the University’s role in community service and environmental development.
Following the inauguration, the University President and the Governor conducted an extensive inspection tour of several facilities at Menoufia National University, including engineering laboratories equipped with the latest technologies supporting practical training and innovation, a student activities exhibition showcasing talents across scientific, cultural, and artistic fields, and lecture halls equipped with advanced smart learning tools.
During the tour, both sides commended the advanced infrastructure and modern تجهيزات of the University, emphasizing that they reflect a clear vision toward building an integrated educational environment that combines academic and practical aspects, contributing to the preparation of graduates capable of meeting local and international labor market requirements with high efficiency.
They also inaugurated a new padel court within the university campus as part of efforts to support sports activities. Prof. El-Kased stated that the facility aims to encourage students to engage in sports and achieve a balanced lifestyle between academic and extracurricular activities.
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides affirmed the continuation of joint cooperation to support development within the University and to provide distinguished educational and community services that contribute to serving society and achieving sustainable development goals.
