Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, expressed his appreciation for the strong support provided to the university by various state institutions during his participation in the meeting of the Education and Scientific Research Committee of the House of Representatives, held to discuss the university’s budget plan for the new fiscal year. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ashraf El-Shihy, Chairman of the Committee, Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with senior ministry officials and Members of Parliament from Menoufia Governorate.

Major Strategic Projects at the University
The President stated that the university is currently implementing several major projects, most notably the expansion of the Oncology Institute, which aims to transform it into a fully integrated medical facility providing advanced diagnostic and treatment services for cancer patients in Menoufia Governorate and neighboring regions. He also highlighted the Menoufia Technological National University in Sadat City, which represents a significant addition to the technological education system and contributes to preparing qualified graduates aligned with labor market needs and modern development requirements.

Continued Ministerial Support
Prof. El-Kased extended his appreciation to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for his continuous support of all university projects and his commitment to providing the necessary resources to complete development and expansion plans. He emphasized that the Ministry offers substantial support to universities to enhance both educational and research processes.

He also praised the Minister’s support for the Menoufia Technological National University and the approval to commence studies at its temporary campus starting from the academic year 2026/2027, describing it as a strong addition to the technological education system in the governorate.

High-Level Coordination with the Governorate
The President expressed his sincere appreciation to H.E. Major General Amr El-Gharably, Governor of Menoufia, for his continuous support of the university’s projects and his close follow-up on educational, medical, and development initiatives. He affirmed that the governorate serves as a key partner in supporting the university’s expansion plans and achieving its development objectives.

He further confirmed ongoing coordination between the university and the governorate to overcome any obstacles facing current projects, particularly those with direct service and healthcare impact, such as the Oncology Institute expansion and new educational infrastructure projects. He also thanked the Deputy Governor for his continuous follow-up and support of the university’s development plans across various sectors.

The President also extended his gratitude to Members of Parliament from Menoufia Governorate for their strong attendance during the budget discussion session for the fiscal year 2026/2027, which reflected clear interest and strong support for the university’s projects.
