This morning, the activities of the first day of the launch of the "Choose Your Life" initiative, organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Menoufia University, were launched.
Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and the supervision and presence of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Nadia El-Qadi, Dean of the College, and Dr. El-Sayed El-Saeed, Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, which aims to train and qualify students of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Menoufia University to prevent from Addiction, which is organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the College of Mass Communication, in cooperation with the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse.
Sharaf praised the goals of the initiative, which seeks to qualify youth leaders from the students of the College of Mass Communication to implement media campaigns to spread community awareness of methods of prevention and avoid the dangers of addiction and abuse. The initiative should be an opportunity to hone skills in ways to solve problems and manage societal risks and crises, while linking these skills to the quality of community and media awareness campaigns on how to confront the dangers of addiction and abuse and ways to prevent it.
El-Qadi confirmed that the initiative seeks to form a volunteer work team within the community awareness program of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the program of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and the plan of the community service and environmental development sector in the college, with the aim of qualifying a group of college students through training workshops on community work practice and skills.
