Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, began by extending his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, for his confidence and issuing a decision appointing him as President of Menoufia University, stressing that he will do his best to serve the university, and develop an integrated strategy to maximize the benefit from the new university projects such as Menoufia University and Menoufia University Medical City And the 200 acres in Sadat City, which have been allocated to the University of Menoufia, and that the university will witness a special interest in the educational system and postgraduate studies in the next stage, and fully activate units of a special nature to provide services to the people of the governorate and society, and continuous cooperation with the executive and community agencies to deliver the university’s expertise and services to society with an increase The role of university hospitals to provide distinguished medical service to the people of the province and neighboring provinces.

The President of the University welcomed the Governor of Menoufia to the university, and thanked him for accepting the invitation to attend the university council session, expressing his appreciation for the governor's full support for the various activities of the university, and his fruitful cooperation with the university to achieve many achievements, especially his efforts in completing the procedures for allocating five acres to establish the medical city project, This national project for the development of university hospitals, and its support in the procedures for allocating (200) feddans in Sadat City, appreciating the governor's efforts in achieving distinguished achievement rates in all projects being implemented.

The university president confirmed that Menoufia University will witness a new start in the implementation of distinguished educational projects with the support of the governor, and aspiration for more cooperation and coordination between the university and the governorate as one unit that complements each other, and the university represents the house of expertise for the governorate.

For his part, the Governor of Menoufia affirmed his pride and pride in his presence in Menoufia University to participate in the university council, as it is an ancient edifice of education in the land of the Delta, stressing the continuation of cooperation and unification of efforts at all levels to achieve common interests to serve the people of the governorate in various fields.

The governor emphasized that Menoufia University is a distinguished educational edifice that the governorate is proud of in various fields of science, research and knowledge, and an active partner in presenting visions and implementing many development plans on the land of the governorate, based on its educational role and its societal mission by achieving the development goals led by the Egyptian state towards human building. Al-Masry is one of the most important axes and pillars adopted by the state at the current stage.

 

The Governor of Menoufia concluded his speech by extending his sincere thanks and gratitude to the esteemed members of the University Council and the family of Menoufia University, professors, students, and workers, wishing continued progress and advancement, and affirming his full support for all initiatives aimed at promoting the advancement of the educational and university sector within the governorate.

 

El-Kased emphasized the university's commitment to the state's plan to advance higher education and interest in scientific research in accordance with the vision of the Education Strategy 2030 through the university's plan to establish an international rankings unit that aims to place Menoufia University in the ranks of international universities by studying and following up the standards of those classifications and working to meet their requirements to raise the level. And emphasizing that the university has established an International Relations Office to take care of scholarships and foreign students to contribute to activating and stimulating scientific exchange between the university and developed countries in all fields and to contribute to attracting and sponsoring expatriates and student exchange.

 

During the session, the university president pointed out the importance of maximizing benefit from the provisions and advantages of the Science, Technology and Innovation Incentives Law, promulgated by Law No. 23 of 2018, which is one of the important legislations that support the system of scientific research and innovation, in light of the state’s interest, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in scientific research. development and support for innovators.

 

He discussed developing a vision for the establishment of valleys for science and technology and technological incubators and the exploitation of scientific research for the advancement of society and the provision of self-resources for it to advance its purposes in the fields of scientific research, development and community service, and the possibility of establishing companies on its own or jointly with others in the field of its research specialization in order to exploit the outputs of scientific research, and directed the formation of a committee From the various concerned disciplines to study how to benefit from the advantages of the law and submit a proposal to the Council for discussion.
