Elections for the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Association of Surgeons were held today to choose its members from among 24 applicants from the top figures and figures of surgery at the level of the Republic. The elections resulted in the victory of 15 surgeons. The list of winners includes Dr. Dr. Mohamed Farid El-Sherbiny, Dr. Khaled Safwat, Captain of the Eastern Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Raouf, Dr. Tharwat Mohamed Ali, Dr. Jalal Abu Rayh, Dr. Khaled El Feki, Dr. Tariq Ibrahim, Dr. Taha Ismail, Dr. Atef Abdel Ghani, Dr. Abdel Moati Hussein, Dr. Imad Salah, Dr. Mohamed Balboula and Dr. Mostafa Rizk .

 

It is worth noting that Dr. Ahmed El-Kased held many administrative positions, he held the position of director of general surgery operations at the Menoufia Faculty of Medicine, and a supervisor of the paid treatment unit in university hospitals and held the position of head of the central administration of university hospitals, and he also held the position of head of the general surgery department at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Cairo. Menoufia, then Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals as the first elected dean in the history of the Faculty, Vice President of Menoufia University for Postgraduate Studies and Research and held the position for eight years, and President of Menoufia University in January 2023

And Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, representative of Egyptian surgeons at the International Society of Surgeons (ISS National Delegate of Egypt) from January 2022 until now. And also the academic advisor for the Professional Development Center at Menoufia University affiliated to the American University in Cairo, and he was dispatched on an external mission to train on oncology and head and neck surgeries in the United States of America (1999-2000), and also on an external mission to train on oncology and endoscopic surgeries in the Kingdom United (2010).

 

El-Kased also held the membership of the Permanent Scientific Committee for General Surgery and the positions of assistant professors for the twelfth session 2016-2019. And an arbitrator in the permanent scientific committee for the promotion of faculty members (professors - assistant professors) specializing in general surgery at the Supreme Council of Universities since 2008 until now. And an arbitrator in many prestigious international and local scientific journals.
