Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the Department of Physical Medicine, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Medicine, Menoufia University held its first scientific conference under the title New in Rheumatic Diseases.

In the presence of Dr. Abd al-Rahman al-Sibai, Dean of the Faculty, and a large number of professors and doctors of natural medicine and rheumatology in Egyptian universities

 

Dr. Abd al-Rahman al-Sibai expressed his happiness at attending the conference and praised the conference and the scientific research it discusses, stressing that the Department of Natural Medicine, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation is one of the distinguished departments that contributed to alleviating the suffering of patients because it overlaps with most medical specialties.

 

 

The Dean of the College also stressed the importance of joint research in cooperation with the various departments to reach the optimal treatment for patients, explaining that the central laboratory was established in the College to be the nucleus of the research unit that will be established in the Medical City for researchers from all departments.

Dr. Samar Jaber, head of the department and head of the conference, indicated that the conference discussed, through 4 scientific sessions, 20 lectures that reviewed the new treatment of rheumatic diseases, including a discussion of treatment of lung fibrosis in rheumatic diseases, and talk about the treatment of various infections and emergency cases in rheumatic diseases and treatment of osteoporosis.

 

The conference also discussed diseases of the digestive system and their relationship to immune diseases, treatment of articular psoriasis, and talk about the treatment of immune vasculitis.

 

The head of the department explained that the conference also discussed the procedures that must be followed before performing surgeries for rheumatic patients, as well as a discussion of what is new in chronic and opportunistic infections in cases of rheumatic and immune diseases.

 

The conference stressed the importance of providing modern medicines in the treatment system at the expense of the state and health insurance, and the necessity of conducting a periodic examination for patients with rheumatic and immune diseases, and the need for them to receive the Corona virus vaccine.
