This morning, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, inaugurated the handmade carpet exhibition, which is held on the sidelines of the activities of the tenth environmental cultural week festival, in the presence of Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. Cooperation between Menoufia University and the Menoufia Culture Branch, in the presence of the Director General of Menoufia Culture, Ahmed Fawzy, and the Director of the Shebin El-Kom Culture Palace, Walid Tayel.
El-Kased expressed his pride in the work and handicrafts presented by the university students, stressing the importance of localizing and developing handicraft industries, automatic and semi-manual carpets, and continuing field training for students on the practical side to prepare a non-traditional university graduate who is able to face the labor market and possesses the necessary tools to keep pace with everything that is new. And opening new job opportunities for him and creating a distinct market that allows us to export and contribute to the development of the national economy.
The exhibition included many handicrafts and a distinguished assortment of manual and machine carpets made by male and female students of the faculties of Home Economics and Specific Education at the university.
The exhibition was supervised by Dr. Mohamed Zaidan, Dean of Specific Education, Dr. Ashraf Hashem, Professor of Clothing at the Faculty of Home Economics and Dean of the Higher Institute of Engineering and Information Technology, Dr. Hiam Mustafa, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education for Education and Students, Dr. Enas Shehata, Head of the Art Education Department, and Dr. Ayman El Araby, Professor of Textiles at the Faculty of Education.
