Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, attended today the discussion of a draft law linking the state’s general budget and the state’s economic and social development plan for the fiscal year 2023/2024 with regard to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the House of Representatives to discuss the university’s budget and projects.

The President of the University explained that the Committee on Education and Scientific Research in the House of Representatives headed by Dr. Sami Hashim, and in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, and Dr. Walid Al Anwar, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, held a meeting today within the framework of its ongoing qualitative meetings, in order to discuss matters related to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. And the bodies affiliated to it are universities and university hospitals, in two draft laws linking the general budget and the economic and social development plan for the current fiscal year.

The President of the University presented the requirements and needs of the university in all sections of the budget to fulfill all its obligations towards all employees of the university, including members of the teaching staff, the supporting staff, employees and their students, and all developments over the next fiscal year, and to benefit from all university facilities with the necessary maintenance and the required amounts, and the approval of representatives of the Ministry of Finance On all reinforcements that are requested from the university throughout the fiscal year.

The President of the University, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, reviewed the inclusion of the new medical city project in the plan for the next fiscal year due to the importance of the project for the therapeutic, health, research and educational process, explaining the goal of achieving it and reaching it from the implementation of this national project, which is a major breakthrough in the expansion of university hospitals, which comes Within the framework of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to develop the medical system at the level of the Republic and provide the best treatment service to citizens.

In conclusion, the university president thanked all representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development for their efforts in achieving the requirements of the university and overcoming any obstacles. He also thanked the Minister of Higher Education for his continuous support to the university. This is a big project.
