Today, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, presided over the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Scientific Research Account Unit online via electronic platforms, with the participation of committee members.

At the beginning of the meeting, El-Kased offered condolences to Dr. Amal Shehata, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, on the death of her mother.
The committee approved the minutes of the previous session, and discussed any further work.
During the meeting, El-Kased announced an increase in support for scientific research and experiments in some colleges to meet the requirements of researchers in the departments. The committee also agreed to purchase some equipment for the scientific departments in some colleges.
The president of the university stated that the committee discussed the request of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence to allocate a sum of money from the scientific research unit fund at the university to finance the suspended aquaculture project integrated with fish farming in a closed cycle, which is fully automated through artificial intelligence applications.

The destination also instructed the colleges to make applied projects that have an actual applied return to serve the research process and students at the university.

The university president emphasized the need to follow up the implementation of research plans in the university's faculties to meet the various challenges facing the Egyptian society in the economic, social, health and environmental fields, and to activate the role of scientific research in facing society's problems and the state's development plan.

El-Kased indicated that the committee agreed to refund the tuition fees paid by some members of the assisting staff who are registered for academic degrees and enrolled for master's and doctoral degrees outside the university.
