Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El Kased, President of Menoufia University, the Tyco office at the university announced the completion of the first funding for one of the talented inventors who has innovative and smart ideas, engineer Ahmed Taher, the inventor of the smart lock. Initial contracts were signed between the office and the inventor in accordance with the directives of the Academy of Scientific Research and the university.
The University President explained that the Tyco Office at Menoufia University is a project with the Academy of Scientific Research in addition to the Entrepreneurship Club, which are two projects that seek to support creativity, innovation and technology in accordance with Egypt’s vision and the comprehensive sustainable development goals, in addition to activating the role of scientific research and linking it to solving industry problems, enhancing the benefit from scientific research and encouraging Marketing creative ideas and inventions, establishing small and medium industries, supporting patents and intellectual property rights, and transforming creative ideas into projects that support the national economy and serve society.
The University President stressed the university administration’s keenness to maximize the benefit from the local and international grants provided to the university by creating a mechanism to regulate the relationship between all relevant parties in accordance with the university’s policies, the conditions of the donor, and the interests of researchers at the university.
The Tyco office at Menoufia University sponsored Engineer Ahmed from the beginning of his project, and provided him with technical, guidance, and legal support to protect his intellectual rights. It also helped him find strategic partners and attract investors to develop his product and launch it in the markets soon.
It is worth noting that the TICO project consists of three offices, the first of which is TISC, the Innovation and Technology Support Center, whose role is to nurture innovation and innovators, the Technology Transfer Office (TTO), which is based on market studies and the development of products and businesses according to market needs, and the Grants and International Relations Office (GICO), which is responsible for helping in obtaining internal and external financing, and aims to The Entrepreneurship Club aims to change the awareness of young people and transform them from job seekers into job creators through entrepreneurial solutions and startup companies.
