The Department of Hepatology and Gastroenterology at the National Liver Institute at Menoufia University organized a practical symposium in cooperation with the Association of Friends of Liver Institute Patients and Bayer Egypt Company, which dealt with the new in the treatment and diagnosis of liver tumors, under the auspices of Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of the University, and Dr. Hisham Abdel Dayem, Dean of the Institute, headed by Dr. Nabil Omar, head of the department, and in the presence of Dr. Azza Abdel Aziz, the vice dean of the institute, a large number of faculty members at the institute, hepatologists, gastroenterologists, and graduate students

Dr. Hisham Abdel Dayem, Dean of the Institute, praised the role of the Hepatology Department at the Institute in combating and treating hepatitis viruses and liver tumors, and diagnosing and treating liver and digestive diseases using the latest endoscopy devices and various diagnostic methods. The head of the department, Dr. Nabil Omar, confirmed that this symposium is the first scientific symposium in the new academic year, which comes within the framework of continuing medical education and a series of symposia bearing the name of Dr. Bass after Al Ghaffar, founder of the Liver Institute.
