Developing community awareness against destructive ideas in an awareness seminar at Menoufia University

The General Administration of Student Welfare "Department of Families and Student Unions" at Menoufia University organized an awareness seminar on developing community awareness against destructive and abnormal ideas and spreading correct ideas.Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, and Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and in the presence of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Amr Al-Wardani, Secretary of the Fatwa at the Egyptian Dar Al-Ifta and Director of the Marriage Guidance Center at Dar Al-Ifta.


Before the start of the symposium, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, the university president, met with Dr. Amr Al-Wardani, welcoming him to the university campus and expressing his thanks for accepting the invitation and meeting the students to talk with them and educate them to limit the spread of destructive and abnormal ideas and help them spread constructive thought and correct religious ideas.


During the symposium, Sharaf emphasized the importance of spreading constructive ideas that develop society and help in its progress, because destructive ideas negatively affect the individual and society and are not limited to the individual, but move to affect others. Therefore, we must all fight destructive and abnormal ideas, spread correct ideas and feel united with God and that He is in the hand of good. All of it and all its management is good in this world and the Hereafter.


Al-Wardani talked about the increase in individualism, sensitivity, oppression, skepticism and randomness, stressing the importance of a person being a safety for others and the words of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, “The believer is from the security of people,” adherence to the values and teachings of religion, awareness of the importance of spreading the concept of brotherhood and love among people, and that a person should be preoccupied with himself and be a divine servant, and how to prepare to enter Ramadan and doing acts of worship that relax the heart and make us feel close to God and happiness and away from representation and falsification of facts and dealing with artificiality and correct the concept of heresy and that there are things that the Messenger of God did not do and they are not heresy.


The symposium was moderated by Dr. Hassan Khattab, Vice Dean of the College of Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development. The symposium was attended by a group of faculty members, assistant staff, members of the university's administrative staff, and a large number of male and female students.
