Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired the session of the University Facilities Committee for the month of April 2024, in the presence of committee members, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Hazem Saleh, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs. Dr. Ayman Abdel Hamid, the engineering advisor to the president of the university, the director of the Engineering Consultation Center, the deans of the relevant colleges, and the general directors of engineering affairs, maintenance, financial and legal affairs, planning, follow-up, and needs.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased began the meeting by congratulating the members of the committee, university employees, and the Egyptian people on the Liberation of Sinai and Labor Day, praying to God to keep Egypt and its people safe and secure under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The President of Menoufia University stressed the necessity of concerted efforts to advance the university, develop a clear plan and vision for quickly completing projects, optimally exploiting the university’s resources, developing a mechanism for follow-up and implementation that guarantees the achievement of satisfactory results of the highest quality, and forming a committee to manage projects in an institutional manner. To control performance, he pointed out that meetings were held with those in charge of projects at the university and the implementing companies to finalize the required appropriations and speed up the completion of project implementation.

In a related context, a meeting was held with officials of Al-Abd Contracting Company to follow up on the implementation of the projects assigned to it.

The University President thanked the Vice Presidents of the University and the Dean of the College of Medicine and Engineering Administration for their efforts to complete the University’s projects and remove any obstacles in the University’s facilities.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased indicated that the committee reviewed the report of the General Administration of Engineering Affairs on the executive position of the projects currently being implemented and included in the university’s plan, the percentage of completion in each project, and its financial position.

The President of the University also discussed during the meeting with the members of the committee the executive position of the projects being worked on, including completing the elevation of the entrance to the College of Medicine and the general site, the elevation of the emergency hospital, the outpatient clinics building, the completion of the College of Dentistry building and its outpatient clinics, the central library in the College of Pharmacy and the terraces, and some terrace buildings. Colleges and the building of multi-purpose halls for education, maintenance of the Technical Institute for Nursing, development of the university’s administrative building, and development of the general site of the theoretical complex.

The University President also reviewed the executive position of Menoufia National University and the rate of completion so far, and the transfer of assets and ownership of the university’s land in Sadat City, an area of 200 acres. The committee also followed up on the procedures that were taken to establish the medical city, the Oncology Institute building, and the Faculty of Engineering Student City building.

The committee also reviewed the executive position of maintenance work in the colleges and various university units and replacement, development and renovation works.
