Within the framework of Menoufia University’s commitment to supporting the healthcare system and alleviating burdens on its members, the University—headed by Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University—signed a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Company for Drug Trading, headed by Dr. Abou El-Fotouh El-Tawil. This comes as a continuation of the previously concluded contract between the two parties, with the aim of providing distinguished pharmaceutical services and medication discounts for faculty members, staff, and students.
The protocol aims to activate service provision through the Ambulance Pharmacy 24 outlet located within the medical complex of the university hospitals, ensuring ease of access to medications and the secure, organized fulfillment of the needs of university members.
Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased affirmed that signing the protocol is part of the University’s strategy to expand effective partnerships with major national institutions, thereby enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided within the university community. He emphasized that the health of students, staff, and faculty members is a top priority, as it represents a fundamental pillar in achieving a safe and stable university environment.
The University President explained that cooperation with the Egyptian Company for Drug Trading and the Ambulance Pharmacy outlet ensures the availability of medications at official prices in a safe manner, in addition to providing real discounts that help ease financial burdens on university members. He stressed the University’s continued commitment to concluding cooperation protocols that deliver direct and tangible benefits to its community.
El-Kased added that this protocol reflects Menoufia University’s keenness to develop the healthcare system within the University, praising the fruitful cooperation with Ambulance Pharmacy in a manner that serves the interests of students, staff, and faculty members.
For her part, Dr. Marwa Mahfouz, Advisor to the University President for Pharmaceutical Affairs, explained that the protocol was concluded in accordance with precise regulations and standards that ensure service quality and facilitate access to medications for university members. She noted that the agreement includes the provision of distinguished pharmaceutical services through the Ambulance Pharmacy 24 branch inside Menoufia University, with all university members benefiting from the same prescribed discounts upon presenting a medical prescription issued by a private clinic or hospital.
She added that the annex to the protocol also includes a mechanism for referring students to Ambulance Pharmacy in cases where medications are not available through centralized purchasing at the Medical Department or the university hospitals, ensuring that students obtain treatment at official prices and benefit from the same discounts granted to the University.
