Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, received Dr. Magy Nassif, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission in Cairo, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Vice-Presidents of the University, Dr. Nancy Asaad for Education and Students, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Osama Madani, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, as part of the delegation’s visit program to hold an introductory meeting at the university. The President of the University welcomed the delegation and the attendees discussed the various ways of cooperation between the university and the Commission, and the importance of enhancing opportunities for exchanging experiences and opening more fields in the academic and research fields with the Commission, especially since the Fulbright Program is one of several cultural exchange programs for the United States that aims to improve relations between cultures and diplomacy Cultural, intercultural competence between the people of the United States and other nations through the exchange of persons, knowledge, and skills.
Dr. Maggie Nassif expressed her happiness at her presence at Menoufia University, praising the continuous cooperation between the university and the authority, and the university's interest in developing scientific research, advancing the quality of the educational process, and keeping abreast of scientific developments in various disciplines, stressing the authority's interest in organizing introductory meetings in Egyptian universities about grants and programs offered by the authority.
After the meeting, the delegation went to attend the introductory meeting organized by the university to introduce the commission’s fully-supported scholarships in all fields in the United States of America for the academic year 2023/2024, where the commission announced scholarships for Egyptians to study, conduct research and gain professional experience in all fields in the United States of America for the academic year of During the following programmes:
First: Postgraduate programs, including the following scholarships: Masters in all fields, conducting scientific research for PhD students, joint supervision of the PhD, grants for artists and workers in various artistic fields, grants for graduates of Al-Azhar University and the faculties of Dar Al-Uloom in the field of Islamic studies, grants for English language teachers.
Second: Programs for faculty members, including the following grants: grants to conduct research in all fields, grants to obtain a master’s degree in business administration to develop the leadership and management skills of faculty members, grants to develop professional capabilities for faculty members in Egyptian universities and higher institutes, teaching grants for visiting professors.
Third, programs for professionals, which include the following grants: preparing leaders and acquiring professional experience, studying in community colleges for graduates of art institutes, research for professionals in the field of arts management, art institutions, museums, and heritage studies.
The authority is also working on holding introductory seminars through the Zoom application to provide a detailed explanation of the program and how to fill out the application form so that registration can be done easily through the authority’s website.
