Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, witnessed the university's celebration of its 48th anniversary in the Grand Celebration Hall at the Theoretical Colleges Complex in Shebin El-Kom, in the presence of Major General Diaa El-Din Abdel Hamid, Secretary General, and Major General Abdullah Ezzat, Assistant Secretary General, deputies for Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Governor of Menoufia, and in the presence of the university's vice presidents, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Nasser Abdel Bary, Vice President of the University for Education, Graduate Students and Research, Dr. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary General of the University, and Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs at Menoufia Private University, Dr. Moawad El-Kholi, President of New Mansoura University, Dr. Arabi Keshk, President of Delta Technology University, Counselor Ibrahim Abu Zahra, President of Shebin El-Kom Court, Brigadier General Mohamed Jaafar, Military Advisor to the Governorate, Bishop Benjamin, Bishop of Menoufia, university presidents, former vice presidents of the university, deans of faculties and former secretaries-general of the university. The university's assistant secretaries-general, faculty members, assistant staff, researchers, university students, a group of executive leaders in the governorate, and the honorees and their families.
The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. The President of Menoufia University welcomed the attendees, expressing his happiness with their participation in the celebration of the university's forty-eighth anniversary, stressing that the university is a prestigious university that has been and continues to be, over the past years and since its inception, a symbol of science and knowledge and a source of educational radiation that contributes to the development of the local and regional community and building a bright future.
The Nuncio also extended his warmest congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and to the honorable Egyptian people, and the Coptic brothers on the occasion of the approaching New Year and Christmas. Praying to God Almighty to bring us back these occasions with goodness, blessings and prosperity, and to grant our beloved Egypt continued progress and prosperity, and to protect it from all harm and evil under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The envoy said that this special day embodies an important milestone in the journey of Menoufia University, as we celebrate together the forty-eighth anniversary of the founding of this prestigious university, which has been, and still is, over the past years, and since its inception, a symbol of science and knowledge and a source of academic radiation that contributes to the development of the local and regional community, and building a bright future.
He stressed that what has been achieved at Menoufia University represents a strong beginning for an ongoing journey towards excellence and innovation, and a new stage of development, and that Menoufia University will always remain at the forefront of educational institutions, thanks to the teamwork and sincere efforts made by all members of the university, including leaders, faculty members, assistant staff, administrators and students.
The university president said that we emphasize that we are committed to reviewing performance periodically and continuously, and in this context, we review together the great development witnessed by the university, which comes in line with the rapid changes in the higher education arena, which witnessed an expansion in the map of public, private and private universities in light of Egypt's Vision 2030, and the national strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education, which is based on seven main axes that the university seeks to achieve all of them.
In his speech, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased also reviewed the most prominent projects implemented at Menoufia University, in addition to the important milestones that the university went through, the challenges it faced, and how they were dealt with with determination and persistence, and transformed into real opportunities for growth and development.
He explained that Menoufia University is witnessing remarkable progress in global rankings, in implementation of the principle of international reference, which is part of the goals of the National Strategy for Higher Education, and within the framework of the presidential directives that aim to achieve global standards in the field of education.
He pointed out the university's progress in various global rankings, which reflects the university's commitment to global standards and the development of its academic structure, and contributes to strengthening its position on the international scene.
He added that what has been achieved at Menoufia University is a strong start towards more excellence and innovation, and that we are certain that the university will remain at the forefront of educational institutions and are committed to reviewing performance periodically and continuously to make noticeable progress in international rankings, extending thanks and appreciation to the Governor of Menoufia for his continuous supportive efforts for the university and its plans and extending a helping hand to it at various levels and implementing many distinguished educational and medical projects to serve the people and residents of the governorate.
The university president reviewed the most important projects that have been implemented and the important educational stations and the achievements made thanks to the teamwork and sincere efforts of the university's sons within the national strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Egypt's Vision 2030. During the ceremony, a number of distinguished and outstanding deans of colleges, university leaders, former university presidents, top students, and holders of doctorates and master's degrees from the auxiliary body were honored.
During the ceremony, a documentary film prepared by the Media Production Unit of the Media Department was shown. The ceremony was broadcast live on the university’s media page under the supervision of Dr. Nadia Al-Qadi, Dean of the Faculty of Media, and Dr. Sherine Al-Bahri, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service Affairs. The ceremony was presented by Dr. Duaa Al-Shaer, and students Ruqayya Tawfiq, Fatima Zaher, Hanin Mutawa, and Israa Amir.
