Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Oncology Institute at Menoufia University and the National Cancer Institute at Cairo University, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, Dr. Dalia Kadry, Director of the National Cancer Institute Hospitals, and Dr. Mohamed Mansour, Media Advisor to the President of Cairo University.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Moati Samra, Dean of the Institute, on behalf of the President of Cairo University, and Dr. Hossam Abdel-Qader El-Fel, Dean of the Institute, on behalf of the President of Menoufia University.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased pointed out that the protocol comes from the vision of Menoufia University and Cairo University to implement sound health policies, and their keenness on scientific, practical, research and training integration and cooperation efficiently and effectively to achieve Egypt's Vision 2030 by establishing a framework for cooperation, mutual benefit for each of them, and exchanging experiences and consultations, believing in the importance of preparing scientific cadres and conducting applied research and benefiting from its outputs in a way that serves patients, society and the Egyptian environment.
El-Kased added that the protocol includes
Cooperation between the two parties in the fields of preparing joint research and projects in a way that allows benefiting from the capabilities of each of them, in addition to exchanging experiences between faculty members through holding joint seminars, conferences and scientific meetings.
The protocol also includes joint scientific supervision of master's and doctoral theses, education and training, holding workshops, seminars, short training and research programs, in addition to exchanging scientific research, publications, books, periodicals and scientific theses related to tumors.
The President of Menoufia University stressed his and those in charge of the Oncology Institute at Menoufia University's endeavor to make the institute a leading center in academic and professional education, scientific research, and community service in the field of oncology sciences and treatment and laboratory services, pointing out that cooperation and integration between the National Oncology Institute at Cairo University and the Oncology Institute at Menoufia University is an important step to achieve this goal, thanking the President of Cairo University and the Dean of the National Cancer Institute, hoping that this cooperation will result in many achievements for both parties in all fields.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, welcomed the President of Menoufia University and the Dean of the Oncology Institute, stressing that the Oncology Institute at Menoufia University will have an influential role in providing distinguished medical care for cancer patients in the Nile Delta.
The President of Cairo University also stressed the importance of close cooperation between the National Oncology Institute at Cairo University and the Oncology Institute at Menoufia University, which will be the first fruit of cooperation in all fields between the two universities within the framework of the national strategy of the Ministry of Scientific Research and the alliance between Egyptian universities.
The President of Menoufia University and the President of Cairo University were keen to exchange commemorative shields after signing the protocol ceremony.
