Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, participated in the inspection tour of the Rafah crossing, which was conducted this morning by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, at the head of a high-level delegation that included Dr. Khaled Megawer, Governor of North Sinai, and the presidents of the universities of Arish, Cairo, Ain Shams, and Suez Canal, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, and members of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, within the framework of ensuring the crossing's readiness to receive the wounded and injured from the Gaza Strip, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, regarding providing all forms of support to the brothers in Gaza after reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

During the visit, the Minister followed up on the readiness of university hospitals to receive the wounded and injured from the Gaza Strip in cooperation with the hospitals of the Ministry of Health, in order to provide the highest levels of medical care, the presence of highly experienced doctors and technicians in various medical specialties in university hospitals, in addition to providing the necessary medicines and medical supplies.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased stressed the full readiness of Menoufia University Hospitals to receive the injured from the Gaza Strip by enhancing their medical and logistical preparations, which include equipping specialized medical teams, equipping intensive care and emergency rooms, and providing the necessary medicines and medical supplies. Medical staff have also been trained to deal with emergency and complex cases that may be received, and to provide coordination with the relevant authorities to facilitate the transfer of the injured from the Rafah crossing, stressing that these efforts come within the framework of Egypt's great solidarity with the Palestinian people in facing the repercussions of the painful events in Gaza. The university president appreciated the great efforts made by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in supporting the Palestinian cause, praising the prominent role played by Egypt under the leadership of El-Sisi in various international forums to achieve justice and peace in Palestine, stressing that these efforts come within the framework of Egypt's steadfast commitment to providing full support to the Palestinian cause and calling on the international community to take serious action towards a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
