Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, Major General Ibrahim Abu Laimon, Governor of Menoufia, and Major General Staff Medhat Abdel Aziz Fawy, Director of the Veterans and War Victims Association, witnessed the annual celebration organized by the association to honor the families of martyrs and wounded in war operations from the sons of the governorate, which was hosted by Menoufia University, in the presence of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ikrami Gamal, Secretary General of the University, Brigadier General Mohamed Jaafar, Military Advisor to the Governorate, and His Eminence Dr. Mohamed Ragab, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments, a large number of families of martyrs and wounded and university students.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased welcomed the celebration attendees and the university guests, expressing his happiness to attend this celebration, to celebrate "Martyr's Day", stressing that everyone carries in their hearts the highest meanings of pride and honor for our heroic sons of our homeland who sacrificed their lives for the sake of this precious homeland.
Pointing out that this day always reminds us of the great sacrifices and immortal heroism that our martyrs wrote with their pure blood, our martyrs have proven that love of the homeland is not just words that are said, but great actions that were carried out on the ground, as they made their lives bridges for future generations to cross towards a better life.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased said that Martyr's Day is not just a passing occasion, but rather a permanent national commitment to commemorate the martyrs and honor their families. This was clearly demonstrated by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's interest in honoring the souls of the martyrs, based on his deep belief in their great role in protecting the homeland and its stability, through launching many initiatives and decisions that confirm the state's appreciation for the sacrifices of the martyrs and providing full care for their families, whether through financial support or providing them with educational, treatment and employment opportunities, confirming that the state will not forget their sacrifices. The envoy pointed out that Menoufia University pays great attention to effective participation in the Martyr's Day celebrations, and organizing distinguished events to commemorate the martyrs and honor their families, to emphasize the university's national and educational role in promoting the values of belonging and sacrifice among our students, in addition to the university's adoption of community initiatives to support the families of martyrs, by providing educational support and participating in community campaigns aimed at alleviating their burdens.
He explained that the university is keen to hold seminars in which it hosts prominent national figures and the families of martyrs to shed light on the importance of sacrifice for the homeland, and what the martyrs have provided to protect Egypt's security and stability.
The university president extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Veterans and War Victims Association for its noble efforts and the great services it provides to veterans and their families, stressing that they are an honorable model of giving and loyalty, and that their presence sends a message of hope and gratitude to all who sacrificed for the sake of the homeland, and that their continuous support reflects the true appreciation for the sacrifices of these heroes who gave their lives and energies for the sake of raising and protecting the homeland, praying to God that Egypt enjoys security, safety and stability under its wise leadership, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The governor of Menoufia also welcomed the attendees, expressing his happiness to participate in the annual Martyr's Day event and honor the families of martyrs and those injured in war operations in order to commemorate the martyrs who sacrificed their lives and gave everything precious and valuable for the sake of this homeland, stressing that this occasion comes to remember all of Egypt's martyrs who set the most wonderful and noble examples of sacrifice and redemption and wrote with their pure blood a glorious history that generations will narrate and remember generation after generation After a generation, it was imperative for us to commemorate this occasion with all kinds of honor and appreciation in commemoration of their sacrifice of their lives for the sake of the homeland.
The Governor of Menoufia stressed that the Egyptian Armed Forces are keen to commemorate this anniversary with reverence and gratitude for these martyrs who were true to their pledge to God and were loyal to the oath of loyalty to this homeland and redeemed it with the most precious thing they owned, sacrificing their lives and blood to protect the capabilities of this homeland and preserve its pride and prestige, extending thanks and appreciation to those in charge of this celebration and stressing my full support for all activities that consolidate the belief of belonging and loyalty to our dear homeland.
In a speech, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments stressed the status and position of the martyr with God Almighty and what God has prepared for them of great grace, calling on university students and new generations to follow the example of this blessed group of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland.
The Director of the Veterans Association welcomed the attendees, asking everyone to stand for a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs, and conveyed to the attendees and the families of the martyrs the greetings of the Minister of Defense and Military Production, and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, noting that today we celebrate a dear and honorable memory for all of us, the memory of Martyr's Day, those heroes who defended the homeland with their lives, stressing that the Armed Forces are proud of their sons and that the Veterans Association always works to provide support and care for its sons, victims and martyrs, as they are the best soldiers on earth, extending thanks and appreciation to the President of Menoufia University, and thanks to the Governor of Menoufia for his support and care for the families of the martyrs from the sons of the governorate.
The Governor of Menoufia, the President of the University and the Director of the Veterans Association honored a number of families of martyrs and those injured in war operations from the sons of the governorate in appreciation of their heroism and precious sacrifices, and the ceremony concluded with the national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
During the celebration, a documentary film about the martyr’s dream was shown. The ceremony was also presented by Dr. Duaa Al-Shaer, a lecturer at the College of Education.
