Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, announced the university's progress in the 2025 EduRank ranking. He noted that Menoufia University ranked 14th among Egyptian universities out of 50 Egyptian universities featured in the ranking, 73rd in Africa out of 1,104 ranked African universities, and 3,214th globally out of more than 14,000 universities worldwide.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased added that the university has distinguished itself in several research fields, ranking first in Egypt and Africa in Blockchain and Cryptography, fourth in Business Administration, ninth in Chemistry, and ninth in Biology. He emphasized that this achievement and the university's advancement in international rankings are the result of continuous work and joint cooperation to place the university on the global rankings map, in a position befitting its long history and its distinguished group of researchers. It also reflects its commitment to achieving the highest standards of quality in education and scientific research, its plan to develop scientific research, and the provision of academic programs in line with the Higher Education Strategy and Egypt's Vision 2030.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased also emphasized that the university seeks, within its strategic plan, to implement several measures to enhance its academic and research performance. This includes increasing support for research projects and innovation, encouraging researchers to publish in high-impact scientific journals, enhancing research collaboration with international universities and research centers, and raising awareness of the importance of academic evaluation and participation in it, in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to advance Universities and research institutions are ranked in global rankings across all disciplines.

Prof. Hatem Sayed Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information and Supervisor of the University's Information Center, explained that the EduRank ranking was created by the leading British educational agency, Net Natives. The platform was originally launched in the United Kingdom and is now a well-established and widely used tool, based on empirical data in the education sector and highly regarded globally. It is an analytical system that reviews tens of millions of academic publications authored by scholars at more than 14,000 universities worldwide. It performs a series of statistical analyses to rank universities in various fields by country, region, and world. The ranking is based on three components: research performance (45%), non-academic reputation (45%), and alumni degrees (10%).
