Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired the Graduate Studies Council meeting with the participation of deans and vice deans of graduate studies colleges and members of the online committee. The meeting was also attended by Doaa Fahmy, Director General of Cultural Relations, and Mohamed Zidan, Director General of the General Administration of Graduate Studies.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Ahmed El-Kased congratulated His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Armed Forces, the Egyptian people, students, and university staff on the upcoming celebration of Sinai Liberation Day. He prayed to God to perpetuate the blessings of security and safety upon Egypt under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He also congratulated the Coptic community in Egypt and university staff on the glorious Easter and Sham El-Nessim holidays.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased noted that the session addressed topics related to the work of the General Administration of Graduate Studies and Cultural Relations. The committee approved the minutes of the previous session and reviewed the follow-up on the decisions implemented. The meeting also reviewed the annual and semi-annual reports of some graduate students registered for master's and doctoral degrees for the previous and current academic year. It also reviewed the academic reports submitted by members of scientific missions and the academic reports submitted by university faculty members on their attendance at conferences within the university and abroad at Egyptian, Arab, and foreign universities.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased followed up on the progress of the university and colleges' plan for scientific research and graduate studies at the university's faculties and institutes, emphasizing the need to overcome obstacles facing researchers and graduate students and resolve the problems of those struggling.
The university president added that 200 scientific research papers were registered for faculty members at the university and published in international journals during the month of March, including 22 individual research papers and 187 joint research papers, noting that the number of research papers published by the university during the past period amounted to 29,203 research papers, in addition to registering 105 scientific theses for master's and doctoral degrees in the university's faculties and institutes during the month of March, including 58 male and female students for master's degrees and 47 male and female students for doctoral degrees, stressing the importance of scientific research and international publishing and the necessity of visiting published research papers and encouraging applicable joint scientific research to achieve the goals of sustainable development, Egypt's future vision and serve the community.
