Menoufia University President Holds Online Graduate Studies Council Meeting

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired the May Graduate Studies Council meeting, with the participation of deans and vice deans of graduate studies colleges and members of the online committee. Doaa Fahmy, Director General of Cultural Relations, and Mohamed Zidan, Director General of the General Administration of Graduate Studies, were also in attendance.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased noted that the session addressed topics related to the work of the General Administration of Graduate Studies and Cultural Relations. The committee approved the minutes of the previous session and reviewed the follow-up on the decisions implemented. The meeting also reviewed the annual and semi-annual reports of some graduate students registered for master's and doctoral degrees for the previous and current academic year, as well as the academic reports submitted by members of academic missions and academic reports submitted by university faculty members on their attendance at conferences within the university and abroad at Egyptian, Arab, and foreign universities.

During the committee, Prof. Ahmed El-Kased followed up on the progress of the university and colleges' plan for scientific research and graduate studies across the university's faculties and institutes, as well as the colleges' preparations for the second semester exams. He emphasized the need to overcome obstacles facing researchers and graduate students and resolve the problems of those struggling.

The university president added that 209 scientific research papers by university faculty members were registered and published in international journals during April, including 8 individual papers and 200 joint papers. He noted that the number of research papers purchased by the university during the past period reached 29,412. In addition, 89 scientific dissertations were registered for master's and doctoral degrees across the university's faculties and institutes, including 54 master's students and 35 doctoral students. He emphasized the importance of scientific research and international publishing, the need to review published research, and encourage applicable joint scientific research to achieve sustainable development goals, Egypt's future vision, and serve the community.
