Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired the meeting of the committee responsible for conducting interviews with candidates for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Nursing. The committee included Prof. Saqr Ahmed Saqr, former President of the University, Prof. Sobhi Mohamed Ghoneim, former President of Menoufia University, Prof. Soheir Ali Badr El-Din, Head of the Nursing Sector at the Supreme Council of Universities, and Prof. Magda Mowad Mohsen, former Dean of the Faculty of Nursing.

Prof. El-Kased indicated that the committee reviewed the candidates’ development plans, proposals, and visions for advancing the Faculty of Nursing in educational, research, and community service aspects. He explained that the committee engaged the two applicants in a discussion of their proposed development strategies aimed at enhancing the Faculty’s role in fulfilling the vision of the University and the future vision of Egypt.

He stressed that the selection of faculty deans at the University is carried out according to established criteria, with full impartiality, integrity, and transparency.

The committee interviewed the two candidates for the deanship, both faculty members and vice deans of the Faculty of Nursing:

• Prof. Sanaa Mostafa Mohamed Saafan, Professor in the Department of Nursing Administration and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

• Prof. Manal El-Sayed Farid Ahmed, Professor of Medical-Surgical Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Menoufia University.
