Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, today inspected the outpatient clinics at the Faculty of Dentistry. Prof. Ahmed El-Kased announced that more than 9,000 cases have been received and treated free of charge at the Faculty of Dentistry's outpatient clinics over the past few months.

The Dean emphasized that the College of Dentistry's outpatient clinics provide distinguished services to the governorate's residents, including examinations and treatment, and provide them with the necessary medical services through 88 fully equipped units on the fifth and seventh floors, in addition to the outpatient clinics on the ground floor. He noted that this stems from the university's belief in the importance of providing excellent healthcare to the governorate's residents and its role in training dental students and interns. He explained that the clinics provide a distinguished range of therapeutic and preventive services, as well as surgical treatments for oral and dental conditions requiring intervention, such as tooth extractions and dental implants. The college also has the latest cone-beam CT scanner to diagnose dental and maxillofacial diseases.

Prof. Salah Hegazy, Dean of the College, indicated that the necessary medical care was provided to the cases received at the outpatient clinics over the past months. The number of extractions reached 4,650, and the number of minor surgeries reached 125.

The number of implants reached 34, orthodontics reached 61, root canal fillings reached 105, and the number of regular fillings reached 42.

The number of prosthetics reached 652.

Prof. Rana Al-Helbawy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, added that the cases treated in the outpatient clinics were supervised by faculty members, including Dr. Mohamed Khater, lecturer in the Surgery Department, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Salam, lecturer in Orthodontics, and director of the clinics at the college, with the participation of 3,280 third- and fourth-year students as part of the practical training for students on diagnosing and treating oral and dental diseases.
