The Menoufia University Administration clarifies the details of the elevator accident at Menoufia University Hospitals, which occurred from the third floor to the ground floor this afternoon. This accident resulted in the injury of 16 university hospital staff, in addition to the elevator operator. Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, the two Vice Presidents, the Secretary General of the University, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and the directors of the university hospitals immediately went to the scene to check on the condition of the injured. They monitored the presence of all medical staff in all specialties and performed the necessary examinations, x-rays, and first aid for the injured. The accident resulted in three fractures, while the rest are in stable condition.

The University President ordered an urgent investigation into the circumstances of the accident and immediately formed a committee headed by the University Secretary General and including members from the Engineering Consulting Office and officials from the Engineering and Legal Affairs departments to determine the causes of the accident and take all necessary legal action against any negligence.
