President of Menoufia University Chairs University Facilities Committee Meeting and Reviews Progress of Ongoing Projects

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired the session of the University Facilities Committee in the presence of committee members:

Dr. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development;
Dr. Nasser Abdelbary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs;
Dr. Ikramy Gamal, University Secretary-General;
Souad Bayoumi, Head of the Central Administration of the President’s Office;
Ashraf El-Nattat, Assistant Secretary-General of the University;
Dr. Essam El-Din Hilal, Engineering Consultant to the University President and Director of the Engineering Consulting Center;
the concerned Deans; Heads of the Civil and Architectural Engineering Departments at the Faculty of Engineering; and other committee members.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. El-Kased extended his congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Egyptian people, and the university community on the occasion of the Prophet’s Birthday (Al-Mawlid Al-Nabawi), wishing Egypt continued progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of President El-Sisi.

He welcomed the committee members, commending the achievements made by the university in recent periods through teamwork, and stressed the importance of unifying efforts and developing a clear vision and plan to accelerate the completion of projects, optimize the use of the university’s resources, and establish effective mechanisms for monitoring and implementation to ensure high-quality outcomes and efficient institutional project management.

Dr. El-Kased noted that the committee reviewed the report of the General Administration of Engineering Affairs on the execution status of ongoing projects listed in the university’s plan, including completion rates and financial status. The committee also examined the progress of maintenance works in various faculties and university units, as well as renovation, upgrading, and restoration efforts.

The President also discussed with the committee members the preparations for starting academic studies at Menoufia Technological University, which will temporarily operate at the university’s facilities in Al-Raheb Farm until the permanent campus is constructed on the university’s land in Sadat City. He pointed out that the university will initially offer programs in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Agricultural Manufacturing, in addition to three engineering programs, as part of its first phase. He further added that the university is currently preparing the academic and administrative regulations for accreditation.

During the meeting, Dr. El-Kased also reviewed the execution progress of several major projects, including:

  • Completion of the raised entrance of the Faculty of Medicine and the surrounding site development.

  • Extension of the Emergency Hospital.

  • Completion of the Faculty of Dentistry building and its outpatient clinics.

  • The Central Library at the Faculty of Pharmacy and new lecture halls.

  • Construction of new lecture hall buildings in some faculties.

  • Multipurpose halls at the Faculty of Education.

  • Maintenance works at the Technical Institute of Nursing.

  • Development of the University’s Administrative Building.

  • Site development of the Theoretical Complex.
