“El-Kased” Announces the Advancement of Menoufia University in the Global AD Scientific Index Ranking

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, announced the university’s advancement, securing the 12th place among Egyptian universities in the AD Scientific Index 2025. He highlighted that Menoufia University is witnessing rapid growth across all indicators, reflecting significant research progress in the H-index, as it moved from the 16th to the 12th position, climbing four levels compared to last year.

El-Kased explained that based on the analysis of 2024 and 2025 data, Menoufia University has achieved remarkable progress in its research ranking and citations. The variation in the university’s ranking (12th, 14th, or 15th) in relation to the H-index and i10-index across different categories and metrics demonstrates the university’s success in strengthening its research position both locally and regionally.

He further added that this new achievement reflects the university’s research and academic excellence, as well as the impact of its scholarly output in diverse academic fields. He extended his congratulations to the university’s scholars and researchers for their quality contributions, wishing them continued success in their academic journey.

The University President stressed the importance of continuing to encourage publishing in high-impact international journals, building new international research partnerships to promote collaboration and joint publications, and ensuring comprehensive coverage through Google Scholar profiles. He also emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of research performance, supported by the university’s Smart Institutional Excellence Plan.

Dr. El-Kased congratulated Menoufia University researchers ranked among the top in citation impact and H-index, extending his gratitude to all university teams who contributed to this success. The AD Scientific Index has listed many of the university’s scholars among those with the highest citation rates and Hirsch indices.

Meanwhile, Dr. Hatem Sayed Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information and Supervisor of the University’s Information Center, explained that the AD Scientific Index is a ranking system that evaluates universities and institutions based on their scientific performance. It serves as a comprehensive and reliable resource for academic preferences and choices at all levels, allowing users to compare more than 20,000 universities and institutions from 219 countries. The ranking is updated periodically every 60–90 days based on changes in the H-index, i10-index, and citation counts, with data primarily collected from the Google Scholar platform.
