President of Menoufia University Meets with President of the Egyptian Blind Sports Federation to Discuss Prospects of Cooperation

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, met with Mr. Hassan Ali, President of the Egyptian Blind Sports Federation, to discuss prospects of cooperation between the University and the Federation, as well as to follow up on the preparations for hosting the 4th International Pyramids Goalball Championship for the Blind, which will be held at Menoufia University from 30 August to 6 September 2025. The meeting also addressed avenues of collaboration in preparation for hosting the upcoming African Goalball Championship for the Blind in September.
Prof. El-Kased emphasized the University’s commitment to supporting people of determination and to reinforcing the State’s efforts toward social inclusion. He praised the organizational level and the efforts exerted by the Egyptian Blind Sports Federation and all participating entities, noting the University’s keenness to host more regional and international sporting events for people of determination in the future, in line with its vision to enhance their status and integrate them into various sports, social, and cultural activities.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Hamdy Watout, former Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education for Postgraduate Studies and International Goalball Referee; Prof. Ahmed Saher Hassanein, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education for Postgraduate Studies and Director of the University’s Center for Special Needs; and Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, Head of the Medical Committee of the Federation.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of shields: Prof. El-Kased presented the University Shield to the President of the Federation, who in turn presented the Federation Shield to the University President.
