Under the auspices of Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the second week of the first phase of the “Be Prepared” Initiative (second edition) was concluded at the University Career Development Center, Menoufia University. The initiative serves as an executive mechanism of the Presidential Initiative “Alliance and Development”, aiming to provide real opportunities for training and preparing youth with future skills, equipping students and graduates for the labor market. The event was attended by Prof. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Prof. El-Kased emphasized that Menoufia University’s participation in the second edition of the “Be Prepared” Initiative reaffirms the University’s commitment to supporting its students and graduates, preparing them to meet the requirements of the local, regional, and international labor markets. He stated that the initiative represents a strategic step toward building the capacities of students and graduates and equipping them with digital, professional, and innovative skills in alignment with Egypt’s Vision 2030. He praised the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in launching this initiative, which aims to provide a comprehensive training environment, including interactive sessions, workshops, and career tracks tailored to labor market needs.
The President extended his appreciation to the University Career Development Center team for their sincere efforts in preparing students for the labor market, as well as to the trainers involved in delivering the program.
Prof. Sharaf noted that the initiative has witnessed significant turnout from students, reflecting their awareness of the importance of early preparation for the evolving requirements of the labor market.
Dr. Hani Ibrahim, Supervisor of the Career Development Center, explained that the total number of applicants for the Presidential Initiative at Menoufia University’s Career Development Center reached 3,112, from whom trainees will be selected according to the initiative’s criteria. He added that 59 trainees participated in the second week of training, which covered personal skills, effective communication, emotional intelligence, teamwork, presentation skills, professional skills, and family planning.
The first training phase continues for five weeks, with five training courses held each week.
