President of Menoufia University and Governor of Menoufia Witness the Distribution of Military Service Exemption Certificates to Persons with Disabilities

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, in the presence of Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Governor of Menoufia, Major General Ahmed Sadeq, Director of the Recruitment and Mobilization Department, and Brigadier General Mohamed Fawzy, Director of the Tanta Recruitment and Mobilization Area, attended the ceremony for distributing military service exemption certificates to students with disabilities and senior citizens under the slogan “Differently Abled”. The certificates were issued through the Tanta Recruitment and Mobilization Authority following comprehensive medical examinations conducted at the beneficiaries’ locations. The event was held at the Faculty of Law’s Grand Hall.

Prof. El-Kased welcomed the Governor, the Director of Recruitment and Mobilization, the Vice Presidents of the University, representatives from relevant ministries, judicial and executive authorities, the Armed Forces, Al-Azhar, and the Church, in addition to the presence of students with disabilities and their families.

He emphasized that the Egyptian state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, has achieved numerous milestones in support of persons with disabilities, launching multiple presidential initiatives to empower and integrate them into society.

Prof. El-Kased expressed his pride in hosting and participating in the ceremony to deliver exemption certificates to students with disabilities, describing them as a true model of determination, perseverance, and success. He reaffirmed that Menoufia University firmly believes that persons with disabilities are an integral part of the academic and national community.

He further highlighted that, in alignment with the directives of the political leadership, Menoufia University provides full support to its students with disabilities. This includes organizing student activities that nurture their talents, offering necessary healthcare, ensuring their participation in all university events, and adapting facilities to guarantee accessibility and ease of movement. He praised the fruitful cooperation with the Tanta Recruitment and Mobilization Authority, which carries out all stages of medical examination within the University using equipment from university hospitals, provides necessary transportation, and coordinates with families and special education schools to ensure comprehensive support for students both inside and outside the university.

The University President extended his sincere gratitude to the Egyptian Armed Forces, represented by the Recruitment Department, for their national role and commitment to supporting students with special needs. He also expressed appreciation to the Governor of Menoufia and all governorate authorities for their continuous cooperation and joint efforts in facilitating procedures and providing maximum support for persons with disabilities.

Prof. El-Kased addressed students with disabilities directly, assuring them that they are rights-holders, a source of inspiration, and a symbol of resilience. He reaffirmed the University’s full support for them and their families, wishing them continued success.

For his part, Major General Ahmed Sadeq, Director of Recruitment and Mobilization, stressed the Armed Forces’ commitment to providing all possible facilities to finalize military service status procedures for persons with disabilities and senior citizens by deploying specialized committees across recruitment zones nationwide. He added that the Department is working to keep pace with the comprehensive modernization of the Armed Forces by improving its performance systems. He emphasized that the Egyptian state prioritizes persons with disabilities, raising awareness of their rights and ensuring their qualification and empowerment to live fulfilling professional and social lives, given their role as a symbol of determination and perseverance and their ability to contribute to shaping the nation’s future.

Meanwhile, Governor Ibrahim Abu Limon expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Armed Forces in providing social support to persons with disabilities and facilitating their military service procedures. He affirmed that the issue of persons with disabilities is among the top priorities of the Egyptian state.

The ceremony also featured the opening of an exhibition of artistic products created by persons with disabilities, along with a series of artistic performances by this group, who expressed their deep gratitude to the Armed Forces for their care and support, which boosted their morale and brought joy to their hearts.
