Within Menofia University's strategy to open up to the international academic community and enhance its international status, Prof. Ahmed Elkased, Menofia University's President, and Dr. Delphine Letort, Le Mans Université's President, in a virtual meeting, signed a cooperation memorandum which aims to foster mutual academic and research collaboration through faculty and student exchange programs that would offer wider opportunities to acquire advanced international experiences.

The memorandum includes items on joint theses supervision for higher quality research, joint research projects that would foster creativity and knowledge production, in addition to devising innovative academic programs that keep up with the latest international educational systems.

The meeting also addressed creating a specialized program in Computational Linguistics and Data Science at the French Language Department at the Faculty of Arts, which would combine language sciences, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence, to match the needs of scientific research and the job market.

Menofia University President said that this memorandum represents a strategic step towards globalization, while valuing the cooperation with a prestigious French university that would open up new horizons for students and researchers.
