In line with the Egyptian State’s efforts to achieve sustainable development, social justice, quality education, and the principle of equal opportunities, the Central Bank of Egypt, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, is offering full scholarships covering tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses for academically outstanding high school graduates who are beneficiaries of the Takaful and Karama initiative or exempted from fees by the Ministry of Education during the current academic year. These scholarships are for enrollment in the 2025/2026 academic year to pursue bachelor’s degrees at national universities, in scientific disciplines most needed across Egypt’s regions. This initiative aims to prepare a generation capable of innovation and actively contributing to sustainable community development, according to the following conditions:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must hold Egyptian nationality.

  • Must be academically outstanding.

  • Must be financially disadvantaged, proven by benefiting from Takaful and Karama or exemption from school fees by the Ministry of Education in 2024/2025.

  • Must have obtained the General Secondary Education Certificate (Thanaweya Amma) from a public school in 2024/2025.

  • Must be of good conduct, with no academic or disciplinary dismissal from any institution.

  • Must not hold any other scholarship funded by another entity simultaneously.

  • Must apply online and provide all required documents (current or future), with the application signed by both the student and their guardian.

  • Must open a bank account in a licensed bank under the Central Bank of Egypt inside the country to receive living and accommodation allowances.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Full coverage of tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses throughout the study period at national universities, conditional upon meeting scholarship requirements.

  • Full scholarships are available in the following fields: Medicine, Engineering, Computers & AI, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Applied Arts, Arts & Design, Agriculture, Tourism, Hotels, and Archaeology.

  • Geographic distribution of scholarships will be ensured across all governorates.

  • Fair quota allocated for female students.

  • A percentage of scholarships designated for students with disabilities.

  • Additional quota allocated for Upper Egypt and border governorates.

Application Process:

  • Applications open on the official portal https://egyaid.mohesr.gov.eg from Tuesday, 9/9/2025 until Sunday, 14/9/2025 at 5:00 PM.

  • Students log in using their National ID as the username and the password provided on the high school graduation certificate.

  • Incomplete or false applications will be rejected.

  • Students may only apply to universities in their home governorate; if the required faculty is unavailable, they may apply to the nearest governorate.

  • The selection committee reserves the right to conduct interviews (in person or online).

  • Results will be announced on Thursday, 18/9/2025.

  • Admission will be automatically canceled if any submitted data is proven false.

  • Admission will also be canceled if the student fails to enroll at the university with the required documents within one week of the announcement.

  • Selection is based on both academic excellence and financial need.

Conditions for Scholarship Continuation:

The scholarship will be revoked, and the student must repay its value in any of the following cases:

  • Failing to maintain the minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) starting from the second year.

  • Transferring from one faculty to another during the scholarship period.

  • Withdrawing from studies without permission or a valid reason.

  • Facing a disciplinary decision from the university or legal conviction, unless both parties accept the written justification.

  • Providing false information or documents to obtain the scholarship.
