Prof. Ahmed Elkased, Menofia University President, issued administrative mandates to assign a few faculty members from different faculties at the University to become coordinators for a number of specialized offices and units-- in order to support the institutional structure, upgrade the quality of performance, activate the role of specialized units in achieving the goals of sustainable development, elevate international ranking, and improve the level of services offered to students, graduates, and researchers.
The University President said that these mandates come within Menofia University's Strategy which aims to empower academic competencies and inject new blood into different work sites, which would achieve institutional integration among the units, and foster the University's competitiveness locally and globally.
Prof. Elkased pointed out that the University is especially invested in supporting all issues relevant to international ranking, sustainable development, innovation, graduates, scientific research publishing, and international students. This is in line with Egyptian State's 2030 Vision, and the pivotal role played by universities in building humanity, supporting knowledge-based economy, as well as the University's tendency towards enhancing international openness and developing the integrated institutional performance system.
The mandates included assigning Prof. Nora Abdulmoez Samry, of the Information Technology Department at the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology, and Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, as coordinator for the ranking office at the University.
Prof. Yasser Kamal Abdulmonem Ahmed, of the Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Science, and Vice-Dean for Education and Student Affairs, was assigned as coordinator for the international students unit at the University.
Prof. Hady Saleh Saleh Abuashour, of the General Surgery Department at the Faculty of Medicine, was assigned as coordinator for the graduates unit.
The mandates also included assigning Dr. Marwa Mohammad Nabil Gaber Attallah, Associate Prof. at the Zoology Department at the Faculty of Science, as coordinator for the international publishing support unit.
Prof. Mahmoud Abdulaziz Muhammad Issa, of the Mathematics and Computer Sciences Department at the Faculty of Science, was assigned as coordinator for the technology business incubator at the University.
Dr. Reham Gamaleldin Muhammad Ibrahim, of the Business Administration Department at the Faculty of Commerce, was assigned as coordinator for the marketing strategies unit.
Dr. Iman Talat Abdulmaksud Abulkheir, of the Criminal Law Department at the Faculty of Law, was assigned as coordinator for the sustainable development unit at the University.
Dr. Muhammad Alaaldin Muhammad Alsobky, of the Genetics Department at the Faculty of Agriculture, was assigned as coordinator for the talent discovery unit.
Dr. Mustafa Shehata Attallah Abdulsalam, of the Electronic and Printed Journalism Department at the Faculty of Media, was assigned as coordinator for the international relations unit at the University.
Mrs. Suad Bayoumi, the University Secretary-general, said that these mandates reflect the University's leadership's clear intent on developing the institutional work system, and maximizing the benefit from academic and administrative expertise, to improve the quality of services offered at the University.
She pointed out that the administrative system at the University places all of its resources in supporting these units and providing the proper organizational environment to enable them to carry out their tasks efficiently, which would achieve academic integration.
