During the visit, the President and the Dean of the Oncology Institute reviewed the latest developments regarding the executive status of the Institute’s expansion project. The project includes the construction of the northern building, the upgrading of the southern building, and improvements to the general site of the University Hospitals. This initiative falls within the University’s plan to expand specialized medical services, increasing capacity and enhancing the quality of care, particularly in light of the growing number of patients visiting the Oncology Hospital annually.
Prof. El-Kased affirmed that the new expansions represent an important step within the University’s broader Medical City project. He noted that the Oncology Institute is one of the vital medical institutions serving residents of Menoufia Governorate and neighboring governorates, helping to ease patients’ burdens and provide comprehensive care within the region.
The Oncology Institute at Menoufia University is an integrated academic, therapeutic, and research institution that aims to deliver advanced diagnostic and treatment services to cancer patients, in addition to supporting scientific research and preparing specialized medical professionals. The Institute comprises several integrated departments operating within a unified system to serve oncology patients, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, oncology surgery, laboratory diagnostics, radiology, and patient care units.
The hospital also provides comprehensive services, including early detection, accurate diagnosis using the latest equipment, various treatment modalities, and regular patient follow-up, contributing to improved recovery rates and enhanced medical service efficiency.
During his tour, the President was keen to meet a number of patients and their families, reassuring them about their health conditions and listening to their needs. He directed that all necessary medical care be provided and affirmed the continuation of field follow-ups to ensure the highest standards of healthcare and the ongoing development of the University’s medical system in accordance with the latest standards. He also extended his congratulations to patients and staff on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing patients a speedy recovery and continued health and well-being.
At the conclusion of the visit, the President expressed his appreciation to the medical and administrative teams for their continuous efforts in serving patients, reaffirming the University’s commitment to sustained on-site follow-up and the continuous development of healthcare services in line with the highest standards. He also congratulated them on the advent of Ramadan, wishing them continued success and prosperity.
