Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, honored Colonel (General Staff) Mostafa Akid, former Director of the Military Education Department, in appreciation of his sincere efforts and distinguished contributions during his tenure. His role was marked by discipline and commitment, which contributed to supporting the university’s mission and strengthening students’ sense of national belonging.
The University President expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Colonel Mostafa Akid, praising his outstanding performance and constructive cooperation with the various sectors of the university, and wishing him continued success in his future assignments.
Prof. El-Kased emphasized that military education represents a fundamental pillar in building the character of university students, as it instills the values of discipline, commitment, and responsibility, and reinforces loyalty and belonging to the homeland. He affirmed the university’s commitment to providing full support to the Military Education system and to continuously developing its programs and activities in line with the objectives of the educational process.
He also commended the fruitful and constructive cooperation with the Popular Defense and Military Forces, stressing that this cooperation reflects the integration of efforts among state institutions in preparing a well-aware and qualified generation capable of assuming responsibility and serving the nation. He praised the national role played by the Popular Defense Forces in raising national awareness among students and consolidating concepts of national security.
The President of Menoufia University welcomed the new Director of the Military Education Department, Lieutenant Colonel Taha Matar, wishing him success in carrying out his duties, and reaffirming the university’s keenness to continue fruitful cooperation with the Military Education Department in a manner that contributes to enhancing students’ awareness and reinforcing the values of discipline.
The Military Education Department at the university also organized an honoring ceremony for the former Director under the supervision of Lieutenant Colonel Taha Matar, in the presence of the University Vice Presidents: Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Ghada Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research. The ceremony was also attended by Mrs. Soaad Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University; Dr. Ekramy Gamal, former Secretary-General of the University; Brigadier General Mohamed El-Saeed Gaafar, Military Advisor to the Governorate; a number of Armed Forces officers; and several general directors and department directors at the university.
The attendees expressed their appreciation for the sincere efforts and valuable contributions of the former Director during his period of service, affirming their pride in the role of the Military Education Department in supporting the university’s mission.
