Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, participated in the Board meeting of the National Center for Examinations and Educational Assessment affiliated with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. The meeting was held at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, chaired by Dr. Ayman Bahaa El-Din, Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education, authorized by the Minister of Education, with the attendance of Dr. Ramadan Mohamed Ramadan, Assistant Minister for Assessment and Examination Systems, Dr. Hamdan Rabie, President of Damietta University, alongside other board members.
During the meeting, President El-Kased emphasized the importance of the role played by the National Center for Examinations and Educational Assessment in supporting educational development policies. He praised the efforts made to modernize the assessment and examination systems in alignment with the state’s vision and political leadership for educational development, achieving high-quality educational processes within the framework of sustainable development goals, Egypt Vision 2030, and in accordance with international standards.
Dr. El-Kased affirmed that Menoufia University plays a pivotal role in supporting the state’s efforts to develop the education and assessment system through its active participation in specialized councils and committees, providing academic and scientific expertise from its faculty members.
He highlighted the university’s commitment to leveraging its research and scientific capabilities to support modern assessment policies and contribute to the development of examination systems and entrance tests, ensuring fairness, equal opportunities, and improving the quality of educational outcomes in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and relevant institutions.
The meeting discussed several key topics related to the development of assessment and examination systems, including the promotion of some faculty members at the institute to the position of Assistant Research Professor, approval of the center’s final accounts, adoption of the research plan, and the training plan for certain institute departments, all aimed at supporting the center’s research and training role and enhancing institutional performance.
The meeting also addressed the approval of the departmental restructuring project within the institute, reflecting the center’s efforts to update its organizational structure in line with institutional development requirements, improve work quality, and strengthen its role in advancing educational assessment systems.
Extensive discussions were held regarding admission tests at STEM schools and the Specialized Students’ School in Ain Shams, focusing on developing testing mechanisms to ensure fairness, transparency, and the selection of outstanding students based on accurate scientific standards.
