President of Menoufia University Congratulates Egypt’s Copts and the Governorate on Christmas and Affirms: Egyptians Are One Body

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, visited the Menoufia Diocese in the city of Shebin El-Kom to extend his congratulations to the Coptic community on the occasion of Christmas, as part of efforts to strengthen national unity and reinforce values of love and coexistence among all citizens of the country.

The visit was attended by a high-level delegation from the university leadership, including Dr. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ghada Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Ms. Souad Bayoumi, Secretary General of the University.

President El-Kased and the accompanying delegation were received by His Eminence Bishop Anba Benjamin, Metropolitan of Menoufia, and Father Boulos Yacoub, Deputy Head of the Diocese, who welcomed the visit as a reflection of the deep fraternal ties among all segments of society.

During the meeting, Dr. El-Kased conveyed his sincere congratulations to the Metropolitan, the clergy, and the Coptic citizens of the governorate, praying that God may return this occasion to Egypt and its people with goodness, security, peace, and stability under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The University President emphasized that Muslims and Christians are partners in one homeland, forming a cohesive social fabric bound by ties of affection and brotherhood. He pointed out that the celebrations of Muslims and Christians are celebrations for all Egyptians, always reinforcing the values of fraternity, love, and peaceful coexistence across all segments of society.

Dr. El-Kased expressed his wishes for the nation to always enjoy security, peace, and stability, and for the journey of development and nation-building to continue through the efforts of all its citizens without discrimination.

In turn, His Eminence Bishop Anba Benjamin expressed his happiness for the visit, highlighting that it demonstrates the spirit of love among the nation’s people. He extended his thanks and appreciation to the President of Menoufia University for his continuous commitment to sharing in the Copts’ celebrations, praising the unprecedented scientific and urban development witnessed by the university and commending the efforts to advance its services to the community, praying for God’s protection and prosperity for Egypt and its great people.

The visit affirms Menoufia University’s societal role and its commitment to supporting the values of citizenship, national unity, and active participation in all occasions that bring together the residents of the governorate.
